Not to talk bad about another author but I truly believe that River engulfs exactly what Tolkien thinks his writing to be. Like Tolkien is great and all but he gets too wrapped up in details to the point I can't see the scene or emotions anymore it's just dry and stale, and with less words I get *so much more* from River. More detailed than most but in the best possible ways or just written so well I think I'm getting more details. I absolutely adore these glimpses into the others ❤️❤️
