Nov is amazed about magic. Actually, Nov is amazed at almost everything and anything new that he discovers due to his curious nature. He thinks that it would be most useful in a house (orphanage) full of kids who get lots of injuries every so often–kids being kids and all. If only he could persuade Rishima to visit them every week or something, then that would be great! But they seem to have other plans.
On a side note, since the fight with his doppelganger, his eye had been acting up. It stings and it’s oozing something disgusting. Good thing that Rishima is there to make it all better.
Rishima saw Nov for the first time and thought of him as a naive and helpless (ehem, hopeless) little brother-figure with the survival instinct of a wet paper bag. His younger sister, Taara, seemed unusually interested in the boy so they had to help him from getting killed. Oh, the things he does for his family.

Down the road, I see Novelty looking up to Rishima as a cool big brother-figure. But to be honest, Novelty becomes more of a best friend to the introverted demon.
