My Father seems to be quite the talented fighter too. He uses what I can make out as a lance to train and seems very proficient at using it. What surprised me the most however was his magic. From just taking a small yet painful glance, he is able to control something akin to fire, sort of like fire bending, as he hurled a crescent-shaped wave of fire as one of his training regimes. At one point during one of his training sessions, he almost burned the house to the ground and earned an earful from Anna. The plus side to this all however is definitely all the stories he tells me while I watch him go at it. Apparently Anna is also very strong, maybe stronger than Ron as she was the leader of their adventurer guild.
From how he describes her as a fighter, he make sher out to be a queen with a sword. A master with her longsword, she is a very skilled swordsman who is able to control the aspect of light and ice, much like how Ron can with fire. I'm going to take a chance and presume the light magic in question is her healing magic as that makes the most sense. The magic system in this world doesn't seem to hard to keep up with, that is, from what I'm hearing.
Now back to the adventurer guild, it was comprised of 7 members; Anna, Ron, a female mage called Jess. our neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Relight who are also strong mages, a male viking like warrior Darbo, and the final member being a very talented archer called Greg. They were apparenty once a very strong guild but had sort of disbanded it as they all went on their seperate ways. Jess, Darbo and Greg were still pressumably still going on what they call dungeon crawls, which I'm only going to assume their fancy way of saying adventuring. Nevertheless, being surrounded by such strong warriors is for sure going to give me some opportunities I might not be able to get otherwise.
The continent we live in is called Denora I believe, comprised of a few regions all controlled and monitored by the King and Queen of Denora. Anna doesn't allow Ron to talk about the political side of everything as it is "unfitting" for an infant which I totally agree with, but a little bit of a nuisence since I'll have to wait until I'm able to get more information. Thankfully we have a study somewhere in the house. Ron also keeps his gear in there, always coming out with a different piece of equipment to either clean or use to spar.
Anyways, Anna also had taken me out for a little adventure in the good'ol town of Ramsworth. Just like everything else I've seen thus far, the town was really nice and comforting. Buildings were littered around the town and there was a shopping district located near the back end of the town. The shopping district was filled with vendors and other small shops selling just about anything you can think of from produce to even adventuring gear. There were also nifty things like jewels and potions, and as you might have guessed these vendors were always busy and encouraging others to purchase their goods. The currency in this world seemed pretty straightforward too, with it going from copper to silver to gold. It seems like most people here can live off of copper and silver, with the more expensive looking items costing gold. From what I can tell, the conversion seems to be 1 silver is worth 50 copper, and 1 gold worth 100 silver. Quite odd, but I won't question it.
Moving passed the shopping district, there was a giant white gate dead in the middle of town. It always had guards around it, with people coming in and out of the thing. My best guess is that it is some type of portal to travel around, but judging from the people using it it must only be reserved for adventurers or well known individuals. The last important thing in town was a small school for magic somewhere along the sides of town.
On our way home, which was maybe a 10 minute ride on a carriage, I noticed how gorgeous the landscape was. Vast amounts of empty land with the occasional tree, perfect for training. There is also forrest that supposedly has a nice pond the father you traverse inside. The fact that this new world is essentially technology deprived is a little bit of a nice refresher, you can't really go out and see the country this nice without actually going out there.
These days of struggling to do anything soon changed as I grew up and learned how to crawl! Finally I'm able to go around and see everything in person, especially the study. The issue was getting in though as the door was always closed and I am in no way tall enough yet to reach the door handle. I'll have to somehow get access in there so I can officially start my journey to greatness as Noah Cyprus. Just one more hurdle before that however, and it's what to make of what had happened before I had arrived at this world.
