Charlotte stood frozen, her face showing no emotion, "Can't you just marry one of those flings of yours, I'm sure their much more fun."
No, I want you. Lilith shrugs the comment off, "They're not the kind of people I wanna spend the rest of my life with."
"And I am? A woman you only met, what? 12 hours ago?" Charlotte smiles, "Yeah, that's much better. Look, I can't say I'm sorry cause I'm not, I can't help you with your marital problems I got enough of my own."
"I could make them all disappear," Lilith blurts out.
"Heh...Not the kind of problems you can just wave money or power in front of and they all just go away," Charlotte sighs, "Not the ones I'm worried about at least." Lilith frowned, confused about what she meant by that. Is someone bothering her? "Sorry to say this to ya princess but, mind leaving? I gotta go catch up with the prince, can't exactly leave you in here." Charlotte mumbles the last bit as she fumbles around the room trying to find her keys.
"He's not your charge anymore. I am." Lilith frowned, why wouldn't she just listen she's the princess of hell damn and she handing a leisurely life to her, why isn't she taking it?
"Yeah, I know for the spousal thing. Not happening now if you don't mind-"
"I am the princess, I outrank you you listen to me-"
"For future reference, it's not hot or sexy to pull your rank. Or to treat someone you supposedly want as your equal as if they are nothing but dirt. You'll never get a wife that way. There I helped you with your problem. Now can I leave?" Charlotte asks very clearly pissed.
Stunned Lilith could speak, no one had ever talked to her like that at least not someone who wasn't family. Now she was 100% sure she wanted to be wed to this woman. Without thinking Lilith steps aside for Charlotte with a smile, following the other woman as she went on with her day. First looking Zach to confirm what his sister was saying, was she really her charge from now on? Yes. And she couldn't do a damn thing about it. Great. Sighing Charlotte turned to the princess and asked what she would like for breakfast expecting that she hadn't eaten yet considering no one was there to bring it to her. Must have been why she really had knocked on her door, not to serve her the papers but to demand breakfast. "Whatever's easiest." Lilith smiled.
The Devil has tasked his son with finding someone to marry his daughter and he has assigned his maid to deal with his troublesome sister and her crazy exes but somewhere along the way, the devil's daughter falls for the maid.
