Note: To clarify my position, I'm very pro-medication. While they haven't helped with my depression, medications have been really helpful for my other mental health problems and are an invaluable resource. The comic is more meant to vent my frustrations with regard to MY depression specifically. Every person is affected differently and meds can be incredibly transformational in a positive way. That said, a mix of therapy and medication is shown to be the most effective. Therapy can be great if you have access! But I hope this comic doesn’t make anyone dismiss medication as they can be incredible.
