Prologue part 2: The process of rebirth
As this new body developed over time, my senses slowly came back. It felt a bit weird, it also felt like thousands of years were passing. But now, everything was tightening up and there was pain everywhere… At least now I could understand those giants, their words no longer sounded like gibberish.
Anyhow, this feeling reminded me of what that man told me when I regained my ability to hear. I guess the sensation of death will remind you of it, huh?
He told me along the lines of: "There is a chance that you can return to your original body if you kill the other person." Or something like that, I don't exactly recall.
As I was thinking to myself, everything became white, and I felt tons of pain striking throughout my whole gooey body. Wait a minute, those bodies I saw before wasn't that way, not at all, even if I barely remember anything about them I do remember them not being monsters of goo!
They looked like me, but with pale ghost-like skin. And 2 arms. That's all I remember, honestly. I could barely feel anything, at all… But, I heard a voice begin to speak. One that sounded like a woman's voice.
”Welcome to your home.” The voice had reassured me. I didn't know who's voice it was, but I knew it wasn't my mother's, since I've heard her voice a lot.
“We’ve been waiting for you.” The joy in her voice was quick and clear, for whatever reason, but I didn’t bring myself to wonder. “My queen, my princess, was born today. Earlier than most other children. Quire curious, wouldn’t you agree?” The voice seemed to ask someone else.
”No, this was expected.” Another responded to the woman, likely the one she was asking in the first place.
“A man already told me about this… He said these two were a gift from him to me. I’ve decided on their names, Kokoro and Majime.” Shortly after, I was plucked up into the air... And had every bit of that goo from before cleaned off. Shortly after, I was brought somewhere.
When I arrived there, a face appeared above mine, joy clearly shown in their voice and smile.
One week and 2 days later…
After a while, I began to see, but barely. I still couldn’t move much as the person who had designated herself “mommy” held me, swaddled up in a blanket filled with jewels, each one shining beautifully, alongside my brother, Majime, who was being held by “papa”.
This was so boring, but I've been freshly fed nearly every day and cared for at nearly every whim by these people. It felt nice, and almost as if I was loved. But at the same time, it bored me to death.
However, most of their speaking is useless from what I can tell. It's mostly just to talk, like how cute Kokoro is. Or how should we entertain Kokoro?
They talk in a weird high-pitched tone. All the people around the castle adore their "tiny Princess Kokoro." It's almost overwhelming having all these faces around me.
What I've found out is that… this is my apparent family….
It starts with Yuto, the king, and my father. Aoi, the queen, and my mother. Fuyo, one of my older brothers, who compared to the rest he's pretty small. But he does adore me the most of them. Yu, my other older brother, I'd assume he's the older one, being the taller one by a big margin. He tends to somewhat ignore me. And then… You had-
Before I was able to think about it, she had already come over and began to speak, interrupting my thoughts.
"Mother, can I hold baby Kokoro?" She asked excitedly, that's all I could tell from what was going on.
And within an instant, Orihime, my sister, had held me up close to her face. The first time I could recognize a face clearly, with most other faces being blurry. With long blonde hair about shoulder length, and beautiful emerald green eyes staring down at me with a joyful smile.
"Hi there, Kokoro! It's me, Orihime, your big sister." She said with a smile on her face, as she reached down towards my head and patted it.
Prologue 2 ends.
