Appearance: Felis appeared to Vist to have cat heads and cat tails, which differentiates them from shifters and familiars. In their full form, they appeared like whatever big cat they take after, though they tended to be on the large end for their given cat species.
Abilities: Felis had the ability to heal with their purrs. They lived in tribal communities that were heavily reliant upon the felis and were made up of humans and other supernaturals alike. One felis would be assigned to each group of fighters, and would essentially just sit in the middle and purr endlessly. Unlike fairies, felis healing magic would correct any injury while returning it to normal, so in theory, a felis could make a group of fighters practically invincible because they could keep fighting regardless of injuries until the felis grew too tired to keep purring (although this would take a long time, since the purring magic would also have some effect on the felis). Felis also had the same abilities as large cats, but they were less likely to actually engage in battle than to serve as healers or medics.
Felis did not have hearth magic, but their tribes were deeply protective of their felis and would guard them well.
Alignment: Nature magic. Felis were allied closely with their respective tribes, but the tribes generally got along with each other and any felis tribe would never hurt another felis, even from a warring tribe, because they were revered as healers.
Lifespan: Felis lived about 500 years. However, several tribes were having conflict with some covens some years ago and the covens figured out how to use poison magic to destroy felis fertility rates, which they then used on all felis tribes they could find. The magic also affected members of the tribe who had felis blood, so felis essentially died out all in one generation and their relatives never had any more. Felis are now extinct.
Personality: Felis personalities varied, but purring could only be achieved when the individual was happy or at least calm/steady, so they had to work to learn how to remain calm even in the middle of a battlefield. Felis were viewed as leaders and healers of their communities and took this role seriously.
Known hybrid variants: None known. People speculated that felis were actually a true hybrid between fairies and shifters, although there was no known way for this to occur since fairies don’t make hybrid children and shifters wouldn’t have a way to get around that.
