Appearance:         In bear form, Bjorn looked like giant bears with fur so tough almost no weapons could get through it (before modern weapons, at least).  While in human form, Vist saw Bjorn as having a bear head but also having bear fur on the rest of their skin, which helped differentiate them from bear shifters.

Abilities:                Bjorn mostly relied on their size and strength in combat, as well as their fur which worked almost like armor.  Most weapons weren’t helpful against them, but magic could get through somewhat better.  Bjorn did have earth magic, however, where they could almost cause earthquakes as they ran or hit the ground hard with their paws.  Bjorn usually fought in packs and could be very difficult opponents because they worked together seamlessly.

                                Bjorn hearth magic worked like a shield keeping anyone out and would start to make the ground around the house tremble.  Additionally, trying to break into a Bjorn’s house usually resulted in a large, angry, bear-like creature coming out to munch on you, so it rarely ended up being enjoyable for invaders.

Alignment:            Bjorn magic was nature magic but with a touch of dark magic.  They were allied most often with familiars and shifters that ran as packs.

Lifespan:               Bjorn used to live about 250 years.  However, they were hit by a disease that affected their fertility rates and eventually they died out.  Bjorn are now extinct.

Personality:           Bjorn were somewhat gruff, but kindly, and hated towns.  They liked living out in the country or in small villages and roaming around the countryside with their Bjorn friends.  Despite being very intimidating in their bear form and aggressive on the battlefield, Bjorn could be very gentle and didn’t like to harm any small prey-type shifters, generally protecting them instead.  (So Nathan and his family, for instance, would have been protected rather than eaten.)
