I slashed my sword right through the neck of a huge, ferocious creature as it leapt over me. It gave a loud roar, its bloody eyes and keen-sharp teeths gleaming with his ravenous attribute. It never even showed me any mercy, but either way, I had no intentions of showing any either. With one slice of my sword, another’s head slid off and fell to the ground. Its decapitated figure stood there, slightly reaching out for a last attack, then gradually faded away because of the aura of light that I had channeled into my sword. Then I looked over at the injured beast.
"Still not down...poor thing! I’ll free you from your misery!"
I smirked as I charged forward with my sword. But before my sword could even touch its skin , a stream of flames turned his remaining body to ashes. I looked in the direction of the flames, and a figure appeared from the smoke. It was Slvy, my assistant and a fierce Elemental Mage.
"Hey! Slvy, why did you finish him? I was enjoying this, you know? "
She instantly turned to me with that fierce, shrewd look on her face and then brought her hands together for the next spell she was about to cast. Wait a minute! I know that sign. It's..
[Ice Style: Frostbite! ]
I swiftly leaped away from her as the ice wave rose from her finger and spread like a blooming flower and froze everything in the halls of this palace.
"Oi! You should inform me if you're about to cast such strong spells. What if I got trapped and froze to death? " I nagged in a playful tone.
"Oh! So the great prince, Sol, the half-god son of the sun god, Apollo himself, is afraid of freezing to death. Isn't it a bit weird? " She declared sarcastically.
"Why, can't I?" I played along while using my sword to slice all the frozen night creatures, dissipating their body as they stood frozen in the ice.
I am Sol Campbell, a demi-god, the son of the Sun God Apollo, the one capable of holding of the golden rays of the sun within his eyes, the bearer of the a thousand kinds of weaponry in my treasure and yet here I am, trying to play my cards on this mortal lady, whose beauty had enchanted me from the first time I saw her.
"I guess there are no more night creatures in this palace." Slvy declared.
"So.. It's just you and me, huh?" I added.
She turned towards me, her hazel eyes shimmering in the silver moonlight with a little shyness in them. I raised my hands reaching out for her cheeks.
Suddenly, I felt Slvy's body being pulled away from me. "Aahhh! " She screamed with surprise.
"Slvy! " A sharp call escaped my lips. I saw her hovering helplessly in the air and then she was just thrown away to a wall as if she was just some filthy insect.
"Hey! How dare you! " I raged as I ran towards the unconscious figure of Slvy. I checked her out, she wasn't bleeding anywhere but it must’ve hurt.
I glared at the shadowy figure of a tall man standing up front. I couldn't decipher his face or any of his features though the thick cloak that covered him.
"Listen little creature, I don't think you have any idea who you are messing with." I declared as I flipped my fingers to summon five golden spears from my weaponry and shooted them towards him. But in a split-second I noticed that the creature just vanished into the darkness before any of my spears could even touch him.
And then I heard that cold, breathy sound whispering in my ears, the sound itself was disturbing enough but those words... Those were the ones who really gave me goosebumps...
"I know all about you, Sol, but I guess you don't possess any knowledge about me... But in any case, I would love to see how a mere demi-god will try to defeat the God of Darkness himself!!
