Pearl Harbor was a pivotal moment that forever changed the lives of Japanese Americans. Pearl Harbor mobilized the government, the industrial complex, and the US citizens for war with amazing alacrity. It was all hands on deck, except for the Japanese Americans. Two Months after the US declared war, the first camp opened. The last, closed six months after the war ended.
Follow the Japanese American 442nd Regiment as they fight through Europe during WWII, while Japanese American families remained unduly incarcerated in US Internment camps. The 442nd is the most decorated unit in U.S. Military History earning over 18,000 awards over a 2 year period.
The story is illustrated with a traditional blend of watercolor and mixed media using graphite, pen and inks, watercolor and gouache.
