"June, these two to table eight, these three to table nine- Zakaria, all these to booth two" Death stated, putting the drinks on the girls' trays before earning a nod each from them and watching them walk off.
Tonight, the casino was jampacked with demons and devils, all for the tv broadcast to all realms of the Opening Ceremony to this year's Heavenly Light Festival. All staff were working tonight due to how busy it's quickly gotten.
Gamer walked back over to the bar, placing his tray down and turning his head to one of the tvs whilst Death took all the used cups and placed new drinks on the tray. "I didn't know demons and devils watched the Heaven Festival broadcasts" Gamer said as Death held back a bit of a laugh "Yeah, believe it or not... the festival's kinda cool to most of us" the ripper stated as the fallen smiled a bit "The longer I'm down here, the more I learn about what we had wrong" Gamer stated, turning back to Death. "Shame I can't exactly do anything to show or prove all the other angels otherwise" he said as Death signed "Yeah, well... welcome to the realm world" the ripper stated "These are going to booth thirteen" "Right" Gamer took the tray of drinks and started ending over towards the booth, every now and then glancing at one of the tv screens broadcasting the festival. "As you can see now, angels of both the Morning and Peace Wings are starting to crowd the centre of the city square for the 'Light Summoning' dance" a news reporter on the broadcast announced as Gamer stopped at booth thirteen "Hey you go guys" the fallen said, placing the drinks down in front of the group seated in the booth who smiled back at him, turning their attention back to the closest tv screen. The 'Light Summoning' dance had just started as the fallen started walking away from the table, listening to the familiar lullaby-like music play on the broadcast.
...Gamer froze at an eating thought and eventually, it slipped out "Can I go to the Heavenly Light Festival tonight?" he asked as Michael came to a dead stop "What?" "Well I'm also (somehow) a creation angel with the ability to heal others, and I know there's nothing else special about me but all other creation and peace angels my age are going to be there for the opening ceremony" Gamer started. "And I'd like to experience what the other angels get to... even if I just get a few minutes or just a little peak-" "No" Michael interrupted Gamer with a cold answer "Why-" "You are forbidden to step foot near that festival, do I make myself clear?" Michael turned his head to Gamer. "Do I make myself clear?" the archangel repeated himself as Gamer flinched "Y-yes..." he answered before Michael walked out of the room...
Gamer came to a dead stop as the 'Light Summoning' dance continued on the tvs within the casino. The people crowding in booths, watching in amazement and awe.
...Gamer sat on the steps of the Light Temple, watching the bright blue and gold glow radiating in the distance behind several buildings as a honey-brown skinned girl of black hair and sapphire blue eyes walked down the steps and over to the young angel. "Hey lonely, what are you doing out here?" the girl questioned, sitting down beside Gamer before looking over in the distance at the glowing lights "...guessing Michael stopped you from going, didn't he?" "It's not fair" Gamer admitted to the priestess. "Every creation and peace angel my age will be there... Michael always never lets me do anything fun" Gamer stated, tightly closing his eyes "This is the first time I asked for something... probably the last" the angel buried his head into his arms as the priestess got an idea. "What if there was a way for you to go without anyone recognising who you are?" she suggested as Gamer lifted his head, raising a brow "What are you talking about?" Gamer questioned "An idea"...
The fallen felt his body grow heavy, nausea haunting him as he grew dizzier by the second.
...the girl guided Gamer into her room before bending down and reaching under her bed, pulling out an old wooden box. She stood back up and opened the box, taking out its contents and showing it to Gamer... it was a white mask with beautiful gold lacing around the edge, gold engravings and a small bright blue diamond in the middle of the forehead with gold engravings around it, making it seem as though it was part of a star. "Lexine, it's beautiful..." Gamer stated in absolute awe as Lexine smiled "And it's now yours" she stated as Gamer looked up at her "Oh no, you don't have-" "Gamer Estel Shadow" Lexine said in gentle voice as she placed the mask on his face "You are the younger brother of archangel Michael, and have the most beautiful meaning behind your healing abilities" she stated. Lexine took off her white priestess cloak and put it on Gamer "You are meant to shine... dear Starlight" she smiled, guiding the angel over to the mirror to show him his reflection. With the mask on, Gamer could barely tell it was him...
He felt lightheaded. Palms slowly growing sweaty. He couldn't tell if his breathing was getting slower or faster, only that the world around him ignored him whole. Everyone's eyes were glued to the tv screens, listening in and drowning out everything other than the beautiful music the angels were dancing to, the Light Stone glowing brightly in unison and the Sunstone sat beside it, its glow flickering a bit like a weak candle flame.
...Gamer hesitantly walked out of the shadows and into the dimmed light of the festival grounds, slowly making his way through the crowd of all different kinds of angels waiting to see the official opening of the Heavenly Light Festival. There was all kinds of stalls set up, travelling down beyond various streets. Gamer walked, face lit up in full awe and wonder, excitement growing by the second before finally reaching the stoned clearing of the city's square. There was a long platform set up on the other side of the square and on said platform sat eight royals, six princesses and princes, one queen and their grandfather, God. Below that platform stood two pillars with a strong protective display case set on each. One held a glimmering white gemstone with a soft light blue glow radiating around it, the Light Stone, whilst the other display case, made of clear angelsilver, held an redish-orange gemstone about the size of a fist, the Sunstone. Both powerful stones taken out of the royal volt for display for this one and only occasion. Standing by them were Mother Zoraida, High Priestess Candace and a few archangels, including; Remiel, Uriel, Amenadiel... and Michael. Gamer froze up, bones going ice-cold as he instantly started regretting on agreeing with Lexine's idea. At this point, Gamer hadn't realised that now all the angels of the festival were now gathered around the edge of the city square and that now there were several angels going around the edge of the square and dragging all the Creation and Lysdon angels out into the square. An angel walked over to Gamer and wrapped an arm around him "Wait-" "Come on, all Creation and Lysdon angels- including you" the angel stated, smiling at him as she dragged him into the now large collection of angels standing in the middle of the city square...
The world seemed to echo around him as Gamer's head now started the hurt, a wave of mysterious pain hitting him harder than a cyclone. His head pounded as he now desperately leaned against the back of the closest booth seat, Death's attention now drawing on the fallen. "Game?" the ripper tilted his head back a bit as he looked over at the fallen.
...all the festival lights dimmed as Gamer started to get a little worried, turning to one of the closest angels by him "What's happening?" he asked in worry as the angel smiled back "All Creations and Lysdon angels are gonna perform the 'Light Summoning' dance, it's basic tradition at the festival" the angel answered. "First time?" they asked as Gamer panickly nodded his head "Don't worry, it's an easy dance- just copy me, okay?" they told him as he nervously nodded his head "O-okay". Those in the square formed several circles going out from the center of the stoned area as the crowd became silent... then the music started to play, and everyone started to move. Gamer was impressed by how easy it was to follow and copy the moves of the angel next to him, but also consumed by wonder and awe as beautiful angelic symbols started to glow on all the dancing angel's body, including his own... although, they seemed to glow in matching colour of the Wing Rule they were under such as blue and pale pink, whilst Gamer was gold and white. Yet no one really noticed the indifference, not even the angel himself as he happily danced along with the others... until it happened.
Gamer's legs became weak, feeling as though they were about to give way. His vision became blurred as the noise around him were all muffled yet still painfully echoed throughout his head and ears. The room felt like it was about to be pulled out right beneath his feet, heart beat and an ear-piercing ringing now echoing his ears as well.
...the Sunstone started glowing gold and immediately got brighter by the second before it's light got so bright that half a second later, a huge powerful shockwave hit everyone, knocking them all to the ground. All electricity and lights in Heaven went out.
"Gamer!" Death ran over, catching the fallen just in time as he fell to the ground whilst all the demons and devils around them looked over, trying to see what just happened.
As they continued to dance, the Light Stone glowed brighter and brighter. All angels smiling and enjoying the show until the Sunstone's last glowing bright flicker... a slight shockwave hit everyone, throwing off most people's balance before a follow-up shockwave, hard and powerful, blasted from the Light Stone, knocking everyone to the ground. All the lights came back on as Mangle slowly sat up, looking around as angels helped one another. Her veins... the magic inside was powerfully buzzing non-stop, her eyes brightly glowing their miraculous gold. Remiel ran over to Mangle, worry drawn on the archangel's face as she carefully helped the other up onto her feet "Remy-" "Hey, you hurt?" Remiel questioned as Mangle shook her head "I'm fine-" "Mangle!" Michael yelled, running over to the two. Michael hugged Mangle tightly, glad she wasn't hurt "Is this a repeat of what happened two years ago?" Remiel questioned her older brother as Ianthe made her way over to them "Something like that" the queen answered, looking down at the two archangels and creation angel whose eyes were still uncontrollably glowing gold, in unison with the still glowing Light Stone. "Palace, now" Ianthe ordered, dead cold and serious look painted onto her face.
