The Sun Prince explored as much as he could in the room he was in.
There were no windows, no secret door ways and no visible item he could really use to defend himself properly. He knew he wasn’t in good enough condition to fight either but at lease this time he wasn’t chained to a wall. That was some comfort to him.
He
let out a sigh. The only way he was getting out was the same door he
came in. One he wondered if he could rush and pull the door open when
someone least expect it. While thinking that thought the door opened
and he just froze.
It was his “owner”.
Castor’s eyes lit up when Nox entered the room with a tray of food.
It wasn’t the light of enjoyment, but of anger.
"Come to feed the pet?"
Nox smiled, placing the tray down on the table. He was still upset about being pinned.
"If you see yourself as one, then I guess so…"
Castor shut his mouth on that one. Nox was quick to shoot back a retort. The captive decided to ask questions that didn’t require sarcasm.
"So, mind telling me where I am at least? Or am I not entitled to that?"
Nox watched Castor, wondering if he’d try and jump him again. He could move fast off the bed.
"If I tell you, you have to promise not to attack me or anyone else for that matter. "
Castor adjusted his position, feeling tense again.
"If I’m getting this treatment, I shouldn’t be too worried. "
Nox, knowing better, turned his back to Castor anyways. The Sun Prince narrowed his eyes at that action.
"You are in the heart of the Moon Kingdom. The Palace of Sere to be exact."
Castor froze, his mind went blank and his mouth dry. He was a lot further south than he thought. He swallowed hard, trying not to choke on his tongue.
"And that makes you the…" He knew that named sounded familiar.
Nox turned back to look at the Sun Prince. He watched as Castor’s eyes wavered, he couldn’t help but pull a cocky grin towards him.
"Third Prince of the Moon Kingdom, Nox Armondo. "
Castor turned his back, refusing to look at Moon Prince.
"So here I am used as a joke, aren't I? A pawn to held against my father."
Nox made his way over, cautiously resting a hand on his shoulder.
"You have no idea?" He was confused by Castor's words. “Do you?”
Castor turned, grabbing Nox by his wrist, throwing him onto the bed. Nox didn’t fight back, just went limp underneath the older youth that held him down with a knee pressed on his chest. His aqua eyes looked dark, even his heart was echoing in his head.
"I’m getting tired of hearing that "I" have no idea. Why don’t you enlighten me?"
Nox gave a playful laugh, fear building up in his belly.
“I do hope not all people from the Sun are this hot headed?”
Castor pressed his knee down, knowing full to well he could easily break bones.
"I do hope not all people from the Moon are this cold hearted? "
Nox rolled his eyes,. Not from lack of oxygen but how stupid sounding the Prince sounded. Even the situation he was in, he started laughing.
"If I was cold hearted, you would have been someone’s chamber maid by now…" He spoke it as a matter of fact.
Castor let up, backing away, leaving Nox to catch his breath. Nox held his chest, slightly winching at the pain.
"What…what do you mean? "
Nox sat, relaxing.
"The other bidder was a man named Ari Tiky. ..he….he’s not….." Nox seemed to lost his voice there.
Castor notice the change in Third Prince. The fear the seemed to escape from him was raw. He was starting to feel bad at how Castor had originally treated Nox, wondering if he went too far.
"Is….he that bad?"
Nox nodded, unsure of what to say.
"He hurt my older brother and he almost didn’t make it….and he still hasn’t fully recovered from it…." Nox looked distant, as if there was something more to what Ari had done. “I just know what that man is capable of…”
Castor scratched the back of his head. He felt like a total dick. Here there was this guy, who should have been his enemy but got nothing but hospitality from him. Hell, the guy even saved his life.
"I’m sorry. ….and thank you. …it’s just that. …"
Nox moved to get up off the bed, heading for the door.
"You don’t need to apologize. It’s completely understandable, considering your current circumstances…."
Castor glanced at the food, coming up with a plan to get Nox to talk more.
"I’ll eat if you answer one more question. "
Nox glanced back from the entrance of the door.
"What is it?"
Castor watched, reading his body language.
"Why did you really save me?"
Nox turned away, thinking about his words before closing the door.
"For peace and a way to officially end this war among our people.”
Castor sighed before getting up to eat the already cold meal. It was something he wasn’t expecting to hear, but he trusted Nox’s words. The youth closed his eyes, taking a bite. He gave a wonderful hum of delight.
"Moon people food is awesome! "
Castor held a triumphant smile when he heard a laugh behind the door. He listened as those footsteps faded away, before grabbing the tray and heading back to the bed. He flopped down heavily, making sure not to let anything drop.
He was a bit more at ease to now know whom Nox was, musing over that knowledge. The answer he also was expecting wasn’t given, which was even more confusing.
Either way, he was stuck for the time being and he knew he had to recover for the long run, no use in stressing over it currently.
He ate in silence, wishing he had a widow to at least see the outside world to keep him some what entertained.
For now, he was able to enjoy rest.
