Takin' a trip down memory lane for Bash and Caleb's first encounter! We also meet Bash's brother (his name is Luke, but we'll get to that later in the story).
Fun fact: the idea for the bonfire was based on my childhood. My grandparents really did host a bonfire every year, and there were woods on their land that we really would play hide & seek in. When I was twelve, I actually did meet a boy there (the son of a family friend), and he was my hide & seek partner. He was very sweet, and held my hand as we walked so that I wouldn't trip over anything in the dark. But after that night, I never saw him again. The end! :)
I'm stoked that the characters are starting to look more and more how I actually want them to - they're so much cuter than when I first started! Yay progress!
Sebastian (aka Bash) has just dropped out of college, moved back home, and found a part-time job at a local restaurant. His first day on the job was going pretty well, until he ran into the owner's nephew, Caleb... like, literally ran into him. It suddenly dawned on Bash that he actually already knew this man. In fact, Caleb just so happened to be Bash's first crush! But geez, it's been like a million years since they've seen each other, and it doesn't seem like Caleb remembers Bash anyway. So it won't be a big deal if he just pretends they've never met. Right?
