"Why is there only beauty in roses?
Why not the dandelion?
White as pure snow and as delicate as a feather
When it dances through the air it plants new seeds for more to follow
An unwanted soul, that continues to thrive
For a weed, I can only see its beauty."
"Where am I?" I think. I'm in a forest, I can feel the cold dirt under my feet, and the chilly night in the air. The only source of light is the full moon.
I start walking, the only sounds I hear are the winds that hit the hollow trees and the twigs and dead leaves I step on. Through the woods, I see a clearing. Just grass and the moonlight shining so brightly it's almost as if it's reflective.
As I walked deeper into the field I noticed that the footsteps I left behind grew Taraxacum erythrospermum(white dandelion), I picked one up, closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and blew on it with all my might. I wished to get rid of my anxiety and make friends. Almost in an instant, I feel a gush of wind and I am now in a new location. My high school.
3 people came up to me, I can't make out their faces but, I know that 2 of them were females and one of them was male. I can't hear what we are talking about but we are all laughing and chatting.
The scene changes again, like a transition in a movie. We are at an amusement park playing carnival games and I won a stuffed crocodile. The locations kept changing, we were at a park and then hanging out at my house. We were all having so much fun, but then cracks start to form under my feet.
I fall through the ground and into darkness, I start to float but I am still heading downward. At least I think so. Then a screech fills my ears, and I wince from how loud it was, but I can't move to cover my ears. Suddenly, a crow lands on my chest, it doesn't do anything but stare at me. I try to communicate with the creature but no words come out.
The last thing I see is the crow flying into a growing light that then blinds me.
