I've often wondered what the environmental impacts of breeding and releasing dozens of Pokemon into the localized area around the Daycare center would be.

I guess the most logical thing to suppose is that the PC transfers them to a more suitable location, or else to some kind of Pokémon Rescue Centre where they look after released Pokémon before (re)introducing them to the wild (in a suitable location)... I should write a fanfic about that.
