So the whole 'three boys born for every one girl' thing... this is how they get around that a little bit. The girl chooses who to marry, and usually it's one boy, and then another a little later on.
Fun fact: They have a different view on genetics, and they figure that as long as both men are sleeping with a woman, the resulting child is both father's, no matter how much it resembles one of them.
