"Yeah sure!" Noah replied, his teal eyes glistening and radiating under the evening hue. He is a little taller than me with complimenting gunmetel hair to go with his eyes. When it comes to kids, he would be considered a really adorable one.
Leading him around our gate I walked towards our shed filled with our instruments and weapons. Being of the demon race, there was a lot more to me awakening my insignia and demon arts as my parents call it. Definitely a much more different lifestyle I was still getting accustomed to from my old one back in the old world. It was weird with all this stuff about magic and creatures and races like I was in some sort of fairytale, but I guess it's better than being dead. I wonder if there is anything in the afterlife after this, or if I just get reincarnated in some other fantasy.
As we walked up to the door of the shed, I jumped as high as little me could and grabbed the handle, turning and pushing the door to reveal the wonders of the inside. My parents were adventurers so there were tons of swords and other instruments all sprayed across, but those were not what I was looking for. Walking up a stool placed just for me, I look around and find my cool little gadget.
Jumping down, I showed my new friend what was in my hands.
"Woah, what is that?" he asked, his face yearning with curiosity as he touched the dark red orb placed on my palms.
"It's my mana orb, Ma and Pa told me it's supposed to let me do my demon magic." I replied, watching the red orb intently.
"Here I'll show you, step a bit back so you don't get hurt." I say, embuing the orb with some of my mana, feeling the insignia on my back warm up.
As he steps back, a white wisp begins to form and flare to life a few inches infront of me. After a few seconds, the white wisp sparks and becomes a white flame, burning with beauty and mystery. My parents told me that out of all the demon arts I could have manifested, this one was deemed as one of the strongest but terribly hard to control. In a way, it kind of reminded me of Sylas, my ex boyfriend from my old world. It was really gorgeous to look at, but with the slightest disturbance it would fade away, just as fast as any other flame.
"Woah, thats.. awesome.." Noah exclaimed, staring intently at the white flame.
"Hehe, I know right? It's my demon arts technique." I replied with a big smile, releasing my control over mana.
We both watched as the flame withered away, leaving with the evening glare. It was starting to get dark, but we both were seemingly having too much fun to notice.
"Wanna see what I can do?" Noah spoke, a large grin sweeping across his face.
"Umm yeah sure! Let's see what you got hehe." I teased with eagerness and excitement.
His grin was gone and was replaced with a concentrated scowl as he lifted his arms and began to concentrate. At first, there was nothing but the light blue glow his skin softly gave off, but after a few seconds a shard of ice began to form. Before I knew it that small shard grew and grew until it looked like a sideways teardrop the size of his head, glistening with mana. It was unlike anything I've ever seen, if my white flame was beauty than his ice would be alluring. It gave off the slightest hue of blue but was clear and solid.
He released the scowl and returned to his grin.
"Hehe, what do you think?" He said, his eyes glued to the ice.
"That's awesome! But wow, we both must be pretty strong then huh?" I replied, now curious as to how strong the two of us really are. There aren't any other children from my knowledge our age who even have access to mana arts, yet here we are utilizing it as if we had full control over it.
"Yeah I guess so." He replied, lowering his arms as the teardrop made of pure ice burst into specks of mana. "Got anything else in there?"
"Umm, I'm not sure but Ma and Pa would get mad if we snooped around any longer. Wanna head inside? It's getting pretty dark." I spoke, turning around and walking back inside the shed to store away my mana orb.
"Sounds cool, I hope they aren't too worried. We are 3 after all." He stated, walking besides me as I closed the door and walked towards the front door of the house.
"Yeah, guess we are just some super genuises haha."
