The Exiled One, who once had been Sanelo, after being walking all night long under the dead, darkened sky, finally reached the place where his father the King, Diuren Garan, would had risen to a new day, had he been alive. There Sanelo stopped, laid the lifeless body of her wife Ada Ebi, and wept for all the lives that had perished due to war, knowing that even his mother had been found already by the Cold Hand of God.
Days, weeks, months, years, aeons passed, and he never stop weeping, for it was all his fault. Had he warned the King, had he opened his mouth on time, maybe war would had been prevented. But now he was alone. The single living creature in a dead world, for he had felt the moment when his three grandchildren had left this world and descended to the Underworld, and he had felt too the dead of the oak which had witnessed the union between him and his beloved Ada Ebi.
And when he looked at the sky for the last time, at the end of the last quarter of the night, he thought he himself had died, for before his eyes light was being born again in heaven. Bright and warm and beautiful, Ada Ebi rose and in few seconds she traveled the path that would had taken the Queen all night to cross. And when she touched the western horizon, the body of Sanelo turned into light.
Dead.
Alive once again.
With his reborn, a new day finally came, and green spring began.
And the new King and Queen met in the sky at sunset for the first time.
'There you'll go one day, oh bright light of this world. And in your tiny hand, strong as this oak, there will be a force greater than mine. And in the tears you shed there will be the memory of the thousand smiles that I gave to you, and the millions of kisses I couldn't give you. And, though we are apart, we will walk together the same path to tell our fondest memories', sang Adhero, Sanesro and Idaro Ebi at the center of the world, where his grandfather and his grandmother had found each other for the first time.
And they cooked a feast and burned the first fruits of the new day to seal the New Allegiance between God and the mortal human beings. Thus every year they would do, and then their descendants, so the Pact of God would never be forgotten and never again war would send the souls of mortal human beings into the cold waters of the Akan River. For they now knew that nothing could happened without the Will of God; and God knew that They needed not to neglect the needs of the ones They created, for they were precious, being a part of Their Being.
With the death of the King, the last day of the world has come. There is no more light on the sky nor life on the earth. God has forsaken humankind, and it is all Sanelo's fault. Now he wonders through the last night, looking for forgiveness, but there's no one to give it. Or so he thinks...
