Faced with the hardships that await him for not following the rules, Olgert only becomes convinced that the only way out is to escape. But how feasible is that with such wardens.
What do you do if you are a pagan trapped in the clutches of the church? How do you survive in a world where you no longer have freedom, and the only way to stay alive is to agree to be "re-educated"? Olgert is not ready to betray his Gods and his principles even under pressure, but his new "educator" holds a terrible secret through which Olgert can gain his freedom.
