Interesting view on motherhood. I don't agree with it at all, but I can see why she might feel that way. For one thing, the grass is greener on the other side; for another, she's probably seen a lot of mothers with young children in their pre-things-going-wrong state.
I'm a cynical soul who, when seeing a random happy family with laughing children, wonders how long their joy will last. :'D Which is very strange since I'm really close with my own family? I guess I've witnessed a ton of family drama (some of which ended up becoming irrevocably broken) as a third party, though...
