I know I've done silly comments on the last few pages, but this scene has been in my mind since around the time I started developing the story ;0; My mom had a lot of conversations with me in the car about my anxiety and how bad it was, so I tried to capture that here. (My anxiety was about as bad as Max's and I couldn't leave the house because of it) Max believes that he can't be brave because of his anxiety, but in reality, he's already a very brave kid and spends the story realizing how brave he really is.

this story just got even more incredible when i read the authors note. I'm so sorry that you had to go through that, Mason, I hope that it's gotten a least a little better since then.
Since he was little, Max has always seen ghosts – and has always been afraid of them. Sick of letting anxiety consume him, he fights to face his fears head-on. But in doing so, he discovers his medium ability is a magical power; something he, a human, shouldn’t have.
Why does he have these powers? Where did they come from? He goes searching for answers but, in doing so, finds eldritch horrors, demons, and post-apocalyptic dimensions left behind by a desperate god who just wants to go home. The deeper into this mystery he goes, the more he realizes the universe has something awful in store for him.
(This comic contains strong language, violence, and mild body horror.)
