After a certain distance, I tilted my head back, releasing a low howl, signalling my return. A few more bounds and we would reach the edge of my
territories.
Low howls rang through the forest, echoing beautifully in my ears. I felt proud of all I had accomplished with them.
This territory, even though it is officially in the main realm it is still somewhat outside of it.
This is then labelled as a veiled land among immortals but among the wolves called veiled territory was a place that is known as “Immortals”, owned by several immortal species by connecting smaller realms and combining their power to make a safe haven for the immortal kind alike.
Why would it be called a safe haven?
We had fought among our kind, trying to prove dominance, killing so many that most of us were driven to the brink of extinction.
I am slightly distressed about this, but I have a goal in mind. A few casualties had to be sacrificed for the greater good, anyway.
So even though I care somewhat, those thoughts were tossed aside because I had already begun with my plan. As for those too weak to survive? They can just die.
For our survival.
Generally, I believe strong wolves will live and the weak will be culled until only one pack remains. Wolves united under one alpha, once it has been achieved, the other immortals will be treated the same and then together, we will cull the humans until they are close to extinction unable to even recover to the ten billion they once were.
I continued moving forward at a steady pace, enjoying the breeze brushing against my fur, ruffling it beautifully.
Mother sire released a soft huff. I turned to look at her, tilting my head up slightly. The she-wolf did not hesitate to speak.
‘The alpha who had been eliminated just now, what of his pack?’ she asked. I did not ponder on this. The answer has already become available as easily as when I raised my hand to rip out his throat.
‘I will give the pack three moons before I cull them.’ Father sire flanked my other side, his form slightly smaller than my own but the built was bulkier. His fur, though thinner, only seemed to enhance his rippling muscles under his shiny coat. ‘You said it well, pup.’
I felt utterly proud by what my father sire said. My parents, even if they were omegas. They are neither having the cowardly trait, nor their stupidity. Rather, the two were extremely smart and are aware of what I wanted to do even if I had not mentioned it. Perhaps it is because they are an abnormal omega pair that I am like this..?
Eh, it doesn’t matter, anyway.
They knew already that, the alpha I had recently killed off was targeted for a while. That is probably why mother stepped in after the fact. His lands were useful, and the pack was a fair size.
It was not a whim to kill him. He was a target for a while now. Just killing him in front of others because my human side thought he had insulted her… yeh, that was not part of the plan. Either way, it has been a success, so rejoicing is good.
If I had done an all-out attack on the entire pack itself, I would lose many of my wolves in the process. Something I could not afford at the moment.
I had thought I’d have to make a big scene in order for me to fight him so he can be killed off but he made that mistake in the meeting and killing him was quite easy.
Happily, continued with my sires in oblivion of the approaching danger.
——
The meeting over. The wolves separated, returning to their respective territories.
In particular, one wolf who had two days of running to reach his territories decided to run off alone, leaving his enforcers in the process. Above him, a shadow formed before cutting him off from the main realm. Within the small domain, the shadow shrank, forming a shadow of a man over four meters tall. The golden wolf towering over the male stiffened sensing the immense danger arriving suddenly.
Angered by the fact that his female had left without even
sparing him a glance he snarled. “I do not know how I have offen-”
The shadow, almost becoming solid, sent out his aura. The wolf fell on its stomach, releasing a painful whine. The male stepped forward looking down at the creature, his shadow continuously expanding until he towered above the beast glaring down.
Such a creature had the fate with his beloved. The string connecting them forming something that he had yet to fully grasp himself.
Even though she is a Selene-alpha in this life, she is much more. What made them worthy? Those three who were constantly by her side, were unworthy and so was this one.
Fated?
A weak male had no fate with her.
She only deserves a male as powerful as him. Any other… hehe, they are allowed, but only as second best and to contribute to protecting her.
In her first life, her males were too weak, and unable to protect her.
Him, who had been too weak at the time, a god punished to dwell as a bird!
He was forced to feast on the dead and watch as his one and only woman fell for others, screamed in pain, giving birth to offspring that were meant to be his!
He is unable to accept that after countless times tempering her that she would settle for such weak beings in a realm that is unbefitting of them.
His aura spread out at a rapid pace. His five eyes widened; the pure white feathered wings spread out behind him. The robe he wore was made from skins of the gods he had killed over time and dyed the exact colour of her skin.
Raising a leg, he brought it down and stomped on the wolf, relishing in its bones, first creaking from his weight and then collapsing from the pain. “Wolves were always a disgusting race. The race ‘guised as weak sheep blending with her clan before they attacked. I don’t see why the great Lady Kosmah would dare to blaspheme my woman with such degenerates.” Pressure was added to the leg, forcing the internal organs to be pierced by the already shattered bones. The wolf beneath had gasped in pain, emitting a low whine. The pain was great, so great that he found that breathing became extremely difficult and the body, which was able to regenerate before, was forced to a stutter pause as the aura from the male standing above it looked down with a grin baring four incisors.
The eye located in the middle of his forehead watched his soul within while the other four focused on his pocket domain, mind, body, and power that had been forced to a halt.
