In the morning, Analyn wakes up. "It's time to wake up." Cinder whispers.
"Can we have breakfast?" Analyn asks.
"We can have breakfast, but I'm going to check the volcano. I'll be back later. Don't go exploring."
"Okay." Analyn says. Cinder leaves and Analyn grabs the same cookbook Cinder used when she caught the unicorn shimmer.
Analyn searches through the recipes until she finds something that sounds good. She finds a recipe. It's called fairy salad. Analyn grabs a jar of dead fairies and the rest of the ingredients.
She pours the fairies into a bowl along with everything else. Once it's mixed, Analyn takes some and eats it. It's delicious. Cinder comes back. Analyn offers her some salad, she accepts and thanks Analyn. "What should we do today?" questions Analyn
Cinder responds, "I think should see the volcano." Analyn agrees, and they leave.
Analyn and Cinder near the top of the volcano. Analyn stares into the bubbling lava. She carefully steps around the edge, admiring the volcano from all angles without getting hurt or killed. After a while she does admit, "It's a bit hot for me."
"It's doesn't feel like that to me, but we can go if you're ready." replies Cinder, warmly. The two slowly walk down the volcano. Finally they reach their cave. Analyn is amazed she has been sleeping and living under that for so long, but at the same time it's scary.
"I don't exactly feel safe here." Analyn claims, awkwardly.
"Don't worry," Cinder reassures her, "If anything bad happens here, you are my first priority." Analyn takes Cinder's words closer to heart then she intended in an attempt to calm and reassure herself. She tries to think of ways to change the subject.
You know about those classic fairytales, right? Where the princess gets captured by a dragon, maybe a witch or goblin. Then, a brave knight comes in. I mean maybe it's just any old dude but usually a knight. Anyways, you know those? Well this is not one of those stories. If you like those stories I advise you leave.
