Fun story: A woman we knew when I was young discovered that her daughter was smoking. She gave her two packets of cigarettes and told her that she wasn't going out that evening unless she finished them. Her daughter smoked them all and was so ill that she never touched another cigarette in her life. When my cousin was a teen, he came home drunk. His father, having learned from the preceding story, locked him in his bedroom with twelve bottles of beer and refused to let him out until it was all gone. He is now an alcoholic.
