There are some benefits to summoning a trainee demon versus their fully qualified counterparts. Firstly, it’s a lot less costly in terms of arcane resources - ideal for the thrifty cultist.
Mainly though, they are just not quite as wily as the more experienced demons, and so you can sort of trap them in logic and get away without fulfilling your contract - I know a chap who summoned a lesser demon in order to make a pact for wealth, long story short, the demon ended up giving up its first born to him instead of vice-versa!
She’s a lovely kid… just don’t leave alone with any small pets.
