The Complete Adventures of Doctor Hempstead

I really can't draw.
But if you bear with this series, the pictures do get better (kind of around Ep 6)!
As for how it started:
I used to draw little doodles for my daughter and put them in her school lunchbox.
As she grew older, she also grew too too sharp for the dopey visual puns I was doing. I wanted to continue contributing to her lunchbox, but I needed to improve my material.
So I drew on my long experience as a sitcom writer in hopes that it would generate the kind of idea that would captivate an old-soul ten-year-old.
It didn't.
So instead, I wung it and somehow came up with this guy: Dr. Rutherford Hempstead.
Dr. Hempstead is a stiff London medical specialist who travels by hang-glider, has a nose for adventure, and does not seem at all bound by regular office hours.
In the early days of the Hempstead series, I put one panel per day in my daughter's lunchbox (Fact-checkers: Look closely and you'll see some lunch stains on a few of them).
Then, my kid stopped bringing lunch to school. But Hempstead kept going. And the pictures got better. Not good, necessarily...but by Episode 6 they got tolerable.
But the stories, at least, are always action-packed and increasingly absurd!
And while they originally were meant for an audience of one during her lunch period, now everyone can get in on all the exploits, thrills and heart-stopping fireworks packed into every Dr. Hempstead adventure!
New episodes on the first Thursday of the month!
