As soon as Asheron's feet hit the floor. The musics thumping increased and the lights began to spasm. Even with him dulling his senses, he felt his whole body tilt to the side.
He stumbled and tried to steady himself. It had to be Randells doing. But he didn't have time to think about that right now.
He had to find Damian.
Asheron tried enhancing his eyes a bit only to be disoriented once again.
He stumbled back from the slight pain, bumping into something solid. Asheron would have thought it was a wall if it wasn't for the shape.
Asheron glanced back and froze and for that moment the music seemed to be drowned out.
It was Vlad. He was just standing there, staring at him blankly. An unmoving statue amongst the squirming figures.
And then Vlad smiled and Asheron felt an unnatural chill run through him. This was the first in his life that he had ever felt fear.
Asheron backed away from him as much as he could in the crowded area. But Vlad didn't seem to be paying him any more attention. His eyes went blank and he turned moving through the crowd.
"Damian!" He called even though he knew it was pointless.
He started to push through the crowed with his vampire strength, not caring who he knocked over.
"Father!"
Asheron spun around and came face to face with a grinning Damian.
"Da-,"
"I'm sorry but look!" Damian cut in, grabbing his shoulder and pointing towards something in front of them.
Asheron looked forward, and through the flashing lights, caught a glimpse of a familiar face. At the same time he caught a glimpse of them as well.
His eyes went wide and he started to push through the crowd towards the door.
Asheron grabbed Damian wrist and started after him, catching up with him in a second.
He slammed his hand against the door next to his head.
"Going somewhere, Benson?"
Benson, the scientist Asheron had put in charge of his facility, flinched not turning around from the door. Asheron grabbed the back of his neck and grabbed the handle of the slide door. His muscle bulged as he pulled the heavy door.
Once it was open wide enough for them, he first pushed Damian out before throwing Benson out onto the street.
Asheron inhaled deeply once he was out. The air wasn't clean but at least it didn't smell like blood, sweat and perfume. Looking over he saw that the bouncer was chatting off to the side with some woman.
Asheron didn't close the door back, instead he glared down at the vampire at his feet.
"Why are you here, Benson?"
Benson looked at the ground.
"My Lord...you see...I was just in the area-"
"Did you know we were trying to contact you? Did you purposely ignore us?" Asheron cut him of sharply.
"No, my Lord!" Benson looked up but seeing those cold blue eyes his head dropped back down.
"Damian." Asheron called without looking at him and Damian reached into his jacket.
"I was wondering if I would get to use it." Damian joked pulling out the pistol.
Benson, hearding a clicking sound, glanced up. He froze.
"Is that..." He uttered frightfully.
"It is." Asheron stated still looking at him. "And the next time you lie he will use it. Now answer me, truthfully. Why are you here?"
Benson was silent for a moment as his body shook.
"I... I can't tell you." He said it almost in a whisper.
Asheron was genuinely taken a back for a moment, but he regained his composure and continued his interrogation.
"Why can't you tell me."
"He will ki-kill me... He will kill me!" Benson shook his head.
Asheron's mind flashed to Vlad in that moment. They way he was acting...
"Who will kill you? Is it...Vlad?"
Benson flinched and lowered his head even further. But he remained silent.
"Tell me." Asheron pressed grabbing Benson's arm. "What exactly have you two been doing? Do you have something to do with the disappearances?"
Benson merely covered his ears and closed his eyes.
Asheron shook Benson feeling a prick of frustration.
"Why are you acting like this!"
Benson had always been a coward but Asheron had never seen him act this pathetic.
It was then that Asheron sensed it. They were being watched by several other vampires. And they weren't friendly.
Asheron dropped Benson and looked towards the alley way next to the club.
"Show yourselves."
There was a beat of silence aside from the thumping of music coming from the club, then five vampires walked from the shadows.
Asheron recognized them or at least, he recognized their uniforms. He frowned.
These were Lord Elmesse's men.
They surrounded Asheron, Damian and Benson.
"By order the order of Lord Elmesse and the noble court, we are taking you in."
For a moment, Asheron was confused. He at first thought they were talking to Benson but then the guard who spoke pulled out a pair of thick silver cuffs and moved towards him.
Asheron took a step back and stood in a defensive stance.
"On what charges?"
Damian, who was behind Asheron pointed his gun at the guard closes to him.
The guard remained silent and instead pulled out rod along with the other four. With the click of a button electricity poured out and covered them.
"Do not resist." The vampire guard said with a smirk.
Asheron flexed his fingers feeling his claws sharpening to a point.
There was a sudden bang as the club door was closed shut and in that moment Asheron heard a grunt of pain come from behind him.
He looked back to see Damian on the ground. One of the guards had hit him on the back of the head. Asheron could smell blood.
He then felt a jolt go through his body as his muscle stiffened. Dropping to the ground he glanced up to see the guard standing over him with a smug look.
"Take them both, and that one too." He ordered before putting his rod away.
"Wait! No!" Benson was silenced with a shock.
Asheron huffed as he was pulled up and cuffed. He looked over at Damian, who was also being dragged along and unconscious.
Asheron turned back.
If Elmesse wanted to talk, they would talk.
