In the modern age, much has changed. There is no peace, no more haven known as the earth turned into a monster-inhabited wasteland with dungeons appearing. A dungeon break occurs if you don't clear it by a set time. It connects the two worlds, earth and planet x are what we call the monsters on the other side rush through. Our weapons, tanks, guns, and bombs barely scratched their skin which ensued chaos, but a weapon of the human race called players, which the "System" chose once the balance was created, a new period was formed named Okino Ko. People who entered these dungeons were named hunters, with the strongest called "Rankers." My parents died when the first wave of monsters entered the earth. Like some kids, I could not grow up with a golden spoon in my mouth.

Instead, I grew up with devilish fosters and people looking at me with disgust in their eyes, looking down on me, and treating me like trash. I always went to the last meal, never in the front of the line; instead, at the back, I was treated like I wasn't even there. I had no one that had my back, no one to trust or lean on. I had no stable income at a young age, so I had to do intense labor. All I had was my parent's will with my name, "Kaba Tetsuo." I am 18 years old since I was one of the lucky few that got into the hunter's program I started when I was 16. I was exceptional in my first few years until everyone outgrew me and left me behind. Each and every single one of them stabbed me in the back. I envy those who made it where I couldn't be the one I envy the most is Muranaka Takeshi. He is ranked 10 in the rankings of rankers. He is skilled, arrogant, and riched, which I am not. He trash-talks guilds as a solo but is a ranker, so no one stops him.
