X lingers in silence, waiting for Aston to explain further.
Aston rubs the bridge of his nose, “Not to overwhelm, but there are three types of Alphas and Omegas. You have what we refer to as regular, then dominate, and lastly superior, Each one has their own benefits and also a downfall. Superior alphas and omegas have the strongest pheromone levels, however they are wild…need frequent ‘releasing’ of these pheromones due to the overabundance of internalized levels. Regular pheromone levels for a superior omega is between 4500-5000phL. According to this X, your levels are at…18500phL.”
Seok chuckles in disbelief. “Like I said last night, how the hell am I not sensing it. Yeah, I get pheromone shock prevents release of the pheromones, but even at those levels, there should be something trickling out. He should be at the very least sick on the ground vomiting from the accumulation!”
Aston ignores his friend. “So…in other words X, your pheromones are at severe and dangerous levels, sort of like a ticking time bomb. Your heat, if it comes, will be greater than a superior alpha in a rut. It would really be too dangerous for you to go out alone or to be alone.”
X sips his coffee. “So my pheromones, or whatever, are too high…you said omegas and alphas use them to communicate and last night you told me Seok was an alpha…” he glances at Seok coyly. “Can’t you tell me how to release them and I can just use them on you?”
Aston and Seok pause, Seok’s mouth gapes open but Aston finds himself laughing. Seok face flushes red. “You realized right now what you’re asking right?”
X’s face twists in confusion, “Well, yeah, but why are you so shocked? Seems to me the simplest solution.”
Seok runs his hand through his hair, “You’re so god damn stupid. You can’t just go around spewing pheromones on any random alpha. Especially since you wouldn’t know to control them once it comes free.”
Aston chimes in, “Seok is right for the most part. Sudden release of pheromones will cause a simultaneous heat or rut cycle.”
X becomes more confused. “Heat or rut cycle? I was only suggesting I’m taught how to release pheromones, then using my pheromones to communicate to Seok to ‘Fuck Off’. Sort of like…yelling…when you’re mad and you release your anger that way….”
The two men look at X in disbelief.
Seok pounds his fist on the countertop. “Seriously Aston, what the hell are we going to do with him?”
“Seok.” Aston contemplates momentarily. “To sum it up, we have an unknown omega with pheromone shock with possibly the highest phL on record. He has no memory nor knowledge of second gender, but—!” Aston points to Seok. “We have a superior alpha on hand. We use your pheromones plus medicine to help X safely regulate his pheromones. All the while X receives his treatment, we investigate where he came from. Plus I can study him, see if this is a new type of Omega!”
Seok eyes furrow. “What the hell makes you think I’ll help with that? I’m already letting a complete stray stay here!”
“He can do housework.” Aston suggests with a smirk. “You hate strangers coming in anyways touching your stuff.”
“He is a stranger Aston.”
“Not anymore.”
Seok opens his mouth to argue back but knows Aston has him tied. He closes his eyes and exhales a few times. “There are going to be rules then.” He glimpses at X. “You do housework and stay put. You were running from something, I don’t want that something coming into my home. I’ll help with treatment but that will be our line, nothing more. I work long hours, immediately when -and if- I get home you do not bother me. To be honest, if you were any other regular omega or if Aston didn’t defend you like a bitch, I’d have thrown you out the moment my doors were busted. Are we clear?”
“Okay, I get it.” X irritably responds. “However, why didn’t you throw me out the ‘moment your doors were busted’? You say you can’t smell my pheromones so for all you know I was this ‘regular omega’ and you were the one to call Aston to look me over.”
Seok grinds his teeth. “Dumb omega.” Is all he can say before slamming his cup down and parting from the island counter.
Aston hurries to him. “Seok, wait, we need to discuss the treatment!”
“Later.” He coldly shoots back. He storms off from Aston and the omega, pacing to his den on the other side of the house. He needed a good hard drink to deal with this massive headache of a situation he was force into.
As he shuts the door to his den, he scowls.
Why the hell did I let it stay? What the hell came over me? This isn’t like you Seok.
He looks down below at his pelvis area, he is hard as he had been last night. Why the hell does this keep happening? I can’t even blame pheromones right now…ugh fucking annoying.
“Fuck. This is bad.”
Seok walks over to his bar, pours a half glass of whiskey before downing the entirety of the drink, he wipes his mouth.
“Yeah…real bad.”
