The feeling that someone was shaking her made Sasha aware that she wasn't dead. A familiar voice was calling her name, but she couldn't say anything. It was difficult for her to tell if she was back in the human world or if she was somewhere else. The uncomfortable feeling of someone pouring water on her face made Sasha flinch and open her eyes in just a fraction of a second.
"Aness, what is wrong with you? Have you lost your mind?" Sasha said while stopping Aness from pouring more water on her.
"Girl, you were dead asleep for hours now! I thought that you died or something."
"And you said it is a good idea to give me another heart attack, isn't it?" Sasha said while getting up.
"At least you're up now!" Aness said laughing.
"For how long was I asleep?"
"Considering that now it is 2 pm, I would say for more than necessary."
" Crap! I am late for my meeting. My boss is going to kill me! We will have to discuss it when I come back home! Meet me here at 6 pm," Sasha said while undressing herself and throwing her clothes all around the living room.
Once ready for work, Sasha took her bag stuffed with different documents and bolted through the door. She threw her purse in the back of her car, got in the driver's seat, and started to drive chaotically. Once she arrived at the office, she was ready for the worse. Sasha knew that her boss was not the most welcoming man. The moment her eyes met the piercing look of her boss, she felt how tension was rising in every nerve in her head.
"Oh, Sasha! What are you doing in here? Haven't you got my email?" the boss asked while arranging some papers on his desk.
"Umm... Not really. I didn't have time to check my inbox this morning," Sasha said with a trembling voice.
"The meeting was rescheduled for the next week. The clients canceled in the last moment. Please be ready with the letters of instruction for the experts by next week."
"Sure! I will get them sorted right away."
"Well, that was lucky enough. I just dogged a bullet." Sasha said in her head. She brought all the documents from the cabinet, sat at her desk, and started to work for the next couple of hours. Time flew by, and words were gradually added to the document she was working on.
"Do you want some coffee?" a lady from the office asked.
"No, no. I am fine. Actually, what time is it?" Sasha replied while taking her eyes away from the screen for a couple of minutes.
"Almost 6 pm."
"Ah, not again! I have to go home! I will finish those from my place." she said while saving the documents on the platform and closing the laptop.
The moment Sasha entered the house, a familiar voice greeted her:
"You are quite late those days," Aness said while preparing something to eat.
"I know it's not ideal, but I have so many on my plate lately," Sasha said while opening her laptop to finish her work.
"You know that you can't run away forever from that dream."
"How did you know I had a dream?"
"I was there. I saw everything. I was trapped in a bubble where I couldn't speak, but I could see and hear everything."
"So that demon was telling the truth," Sasha replied while looking directly into Aness's eyes.
"He sure did! We will talk about it after we eat." Aness said while placing a bowl of soup in front of Sasha, making her friend close everything down and put the work aside.
"Sure, mom! Whatever you say!"
"I ain't your mom! Stop with all those nonsense and start eating while is hot!"
Sasha knew that she couldn't argue with Aness. Besides that, she didn't eat for the whole day, so she had no chance of winning the argument. The soup was delicious - not too salty and not too sweet.
"What do you want to do then?" Sasha asked while pushing away the emptied bowl.
"Let's go and start reading the book exactly how the deamon told us to."
"So what you are saying is: Let's go and get fucked by getting into the deal with the devil?" asked Sasha while lifting one of her brows up.
"Pretty much, yes! Trust me, sometimes is way better to get fucked by a demon rather than a human!"
"Aness!! What the..." she couldn't finish her sentence because Aness interrupted her: "Leave the drama and move your ass to the living room."
"Meanwhile I understand half of what's going on in this first chapter, some words I can only guess them. Tomorrow I will have to go and get some books that help us with translation." Aness said.
"So, what's the first chapter about?"
"It basically tells us a story about the beginning of the world. Let me read it to you." Aness said while taking a moment to breathe before starting again " The world that the weakest see, is the world of collision of more dimensions in one timeline. Before the collision, there was no feeling of existence and no feeling of death. Everything was reduced to nothing. You could feel everything, yet you felt nothing. The Source of Eternal Light and Power was divided into small lights called Creators of the Souls. Back then there were no Creators of all dimensions and universes, there was one dimension, one universe, and one timeline of existence. After the division, a part of The Source remained intact, but The Creators decided to extend and develop mutiple universes and dimensions with different timelines. The Creators never liked to assume responsibility for their universes because they always remained impartial, so they created Gods. The weakest may assume that Gods were all impartial in all Universes and timelines, yet this was not the case for the 3D universes. Terra is part of one of those 3D Universes where the existance of corrupt Gods exists. This is how the messengers appeared, to combat the corrupt Gods."
"Wow! That's something new! But who are those messengers?" Sasha asked.
"I am not entirely sure! We will have to go and study the history of religions in order to understand this better."
" Or while you go tomorrow for the books that will help us out with the translations, I will go to the Central Library and see what books they have regarding this topic."
