Baldwin begins his attack anew, rushing forward in a fury, his blade aiming for Alayne's neck. The entire ordeal feels more real now as gasps of excitement and a bit of fear fill the air. This combat training is the only time you cannot be punished for killing another of your own tribe. Baldwin having slain the most young trainees of anyone else.
Alayne focuses, allows her soul ocean to expand once more, arms being overtaken once again by her usual blood red scales, but they are now tipped in a deep blue. Her horns, once small antlers more reminiscent of a sawsdeer, long and branching, intertwining with each other, and reaching taller than ever before. Each branching tip laced with a blue hue. Forming a dark purple at each intersect.
She holds her hand out, and a battleaxe begins to take form, instead of the usual red for soul force weapons, it is purple in color, with a blue flame surrounding it, roaring and howling in every which direction.
Alayne stands still, weapon in hand, and waits for Baldwin.
Baldwin notices this, and instinctively jumps backward, retreating around 10 feet. He could feel deep inside of his soul ocean, that if he had attacked her just then, he would have had his head chopped clean off.
Alayne takes a deep breath, then another, and stares directly at Titan.
"I, Alayne, daughter of Titan and Alessia, will succeed the throne on my own. No man shall court me without my say so. No one shall control me any longer."
Everyone watching the battle felt fear. This was not the ordinary power of the fell. Alaynes mark forming a complete circle now. Many tribe members saw this before, with Titan and Alessia, two beings whose power far succeeded that of the normally weak and docile Fell. In the face of a new power, further showing that this is a new age for the Fell-Marked. One by one, those in the crowd began to bow.
Baldwin, observing the situation, decides his best option is to side with this new power rather than be against it. Backing down, he absorbs his weapon, and bows as well.
Titan feels otherwise.
He immediately forges a battleaxe of his own, and charges at his daughter, she's almost too late to react but managed to block his weapon with her own, a loud scraping sound is heard as two rocks collide, Alayne not giving even an inch of space despite almost losing her footing, the shock of the attack causes her to lose focus slightly, and Titan attempts to take advantage.
Titan whirls around with another strike, aiming for Alayne's knee, she jumps, and almost instantaneously uses her battleaxe to shove his into the ground mid swing, she succeeds just barely, making the man fall forward,he tries to steady himself on his hilt, but Alayne has her blade poised directly at his neck when he looks up.
"My win."
