"Transfer Student" may be a quaint way of putting it, huh? XD

Anyway, I'm sure you've got lots of questions, and that's totally fair. From "why is Chiaki here?" to "where is here?" to "how long has she already been here?" to "who are these new folks?" to "are they all speaking Japanese?" to "what's happening with Fumiko and Kenta?" and probably a few more (depending on how much you analyze this page). It's okay. You're going to have more questions than answers for a while, I'm afraid. But you will get a some answers next time!

Also, this is technically the chapter page. At the time when I drew this, I wasn't decided on whether I was going to be doing formal chapter covers or not. Now, I think I'm leaning yes, but this first chapter won't have one (unless you'd like to count the Obligatory Cover Page from just before the comic started). For now, we'll consider this a unique first chapter quirk (like when the first episode of a show doesn't play the intro yet). :P

EDIT: I should add because there seems to have been some confusion, the purple and yellow speech bubbles at the top of the page before Chiaki awakens are Fumiko and Kenta's voices. These new folks do not already know Chiaki's name.
