My party was cut short by a concerning sound, footsteps. Whatever was moving was huge. Boom. How could it even fi- Boom. It was close.Boom. A slender man in all black emerged from beyond a fence. Each button on his blazer was buttoned and it seemed all wrinkles had been eradicated from his outfit and his short black hair hung over his pale face. His pointed eyes stayed on me as he advanced at an alarming speed. My feeling of uneasiness stacked up while he got even closer until Kirstiella stopped him with a firm hand to his chest and a look of grave annoyance. The hand sent him flying into a wall.
Kirstiella's hands shone bright with illuminated tatoos all over hands and she got into a fighting pose.
"You haven't seen anything yet." A high-pitched voice said. I looked around until I saw the person who spoke. A woman wearing the same suit as the man but one of the sleeves was decorated in medals and honorary sashes. She continued by declaring that she was Team B's strongest member, Lucy Flaringale.
"Wow, look there!" She squeeled and pointed at the developing fight. Kirstiella and the man both shouted, "Engage!" and they transformed and were adorned with armour. Kirtstiella's was a rusted, knight's attire with a dented helmet and the man covered his face in a velvet mask depicting a trickster, layers of metal covered his chest and the hilt of a samurai sword manifested in his protruded hand and its blade slowly appeared. Lucy made a comment about how much cooler her mentor's was. They charged each other. The man unleashing a flurry of fast slices on Kirstiella as she hurled a two handed Greatsword around desparately trying to hit her speedy foe. Kirstiella's thoughts ran but her only concern was protecting me, so she had no qualms with using it. Their blades clashed releasing sparks and the two were psuhed away. She held her hand out at the man and shouted, "Breath of a mountain!" A ball of ice formed and fired off like a bullet at the man and hit his leg freezing it in place. They both let out wails of pain, though.
"Kirsti, please. Such juvenile attacks would never work on me. Also, before I kill you, remember my name because it seems you forgot; Seigi." Seigi said before whispering to his blade, it then shone a blood red. In an instant copies of himself appeared before and around Kirstiella. Like a flash, they all ran past her leaving their blade in her armour. Fast, lighting fast. She turned to me and mouthed the word "Run" and held out a hand. Until a blade impaled the arm leaving it limp
"Man, seeing that really hypes you up, right? Sei said we should avoid fights 'cause we can only use each of our links once but do you wanna test what you got, newbie? I understand if I am too physically imposing." Lucy said. Crazy to say that since I was looking down to see her but how can she so casually mention fighting? These guys really are troub-
I could not finish my thought as she shoved her small fist into my stomach sending me on an express flight to the nearest wall
Feeling lost, bored with it all or like a failure? Everyone's the hero of their own story and when heroes think like that, we all know who visits them. Is that how things are going to work with our resident failure, Don Rose? I mean heck, has anything worked in his adult life?
