The young mermaid screamed to Harness for help as they were ambushed & captured by assailants. But when she looked in his direction, saw the assailants leader giving him payment in exchange for her. She stared at him in grief & disbelief as she was carried away. "How could he do this to me? He was my friend..." she thought, regretting that she hadn't listened to her father, that she hadn't been cautious. After all, the warning signs were there, Harness had asked her to meet him at a more Open part of the coast, claiming he had something he wanted to show her & not only that but he was Late, hes never been late. "I should have known something was wrong..." she thought as she silently cried over her mistakes & regrets. While "Harness" bragged to the assailants about how easy it was to gain her trust & take advantage of her inexperience.
