Lilith smiled wide as Charlotte sat a bowl of cereal in front of her, saying a quick "thank you" before beginning to scarf down the cereal. "Heh. Cereal. This girl could have whatever she wants and she asks for "Whatever's easiest for you". She must have a few screws loose." Charlotte thought as she sat down in the seat to Lilith's right, watching as the princess happily ate the "meal" provided for her. Her eyes roamed the princess's figure, she had seen her around the castle but had never stopped to really look at the woman. She was beautiful. But definitely not marriage material. Sure she had never been married so she didn't exactly know what was "marriage material" but she knew enough to know someone who had around two flings let alone a hundred definitely wasn't a person you just wanted to head first into a marriage with without getting to know them a little first. And no, she's not contemplating actually accepting the princess offer although it sure would help her with her work agreement she wasn't someone who threw the word marriage around lightly. If she was to ever get married it would be to someone who she knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with not someone she took one look at and felt she was in love with them and marry on a gut (or rather a heart) instinct. I mean she believes in love at first sight but even that can't guarantee a happy or stable marriage. And she didn't throw love around. Marriage to her was like the ultimate promise and she didn't break promises, she didn't make a promise unless she knew she could keep it. She knew that even if she wanted to marry the woman sitting in front of her she would need to at least get to know her. She also knew that wasn't going to happen. "She has what, a month, before her coronation to at least have someone to say she is planning to marry. And she wants that throne. She won't waste time over some servant girl just to get her hand in marriage." Lilith suddenly stood and started to walk towards the kitchen with her bowl in her hands. "What is she doing?" Charlotte thought standing to follow Lilith.
"I could have done that," Charlotte says stopping in front of the door. Lilith has her sleeves rolled up, her hands working to clean the bowl.
"Why? I could do it so easily while you stay in the world of yours." Lilith says throwing a cheeky smile over her shoulder before turning to rinse the bowl.
"It's my job-"
"No. Your job is to relax."
"I thought my job was to find you a wife." Charlotte frowns crossing her arms over her chest as she takes a step closer to the princess.
"Yeah, but you've already done your part. You found her now I have to woo her. And if that means doing the few dishes there are while she daydreams then so be it." Lilith smiles setting the bowl on the rack to dry.
"Who is this woman?" Charlotte asks stepping a foot closer, "She better not be me cause if so you wasting your time-" Before she can finish her sentence Lilith has her by the chin, her eyes squinting as they run over Charlotte's face. "What are you doing?" Charlotte asks attempting to pull her face away only to have Lilith snake her hand around the nape of her neck. "Wow-"
"You have bags under your eyes. And stress lines." Lilith frowned.
"I'm sorry my face doesn't live up to your standards, princess," Charlotte says clearly aggravated.
"Oh, no it's nothing to do with your looks, you exceed my "standards" in that department it's the "letting me take care of you" department that I have a problem with," Lilith says leaning in, inches from Charlotte's face when she smiles and takes a step back. "Take your shirt off."
"What?!" Charlotte yells stepping back.
"I can't give you a massage if your shirt is on," Lilith says matter of factly.
"I don't want a back massage." Charlotte hollers walking backward as Lilith walks towards her.
"Okay. At least take a nap in my bed. Its specifically made for back pain and helps you sleep like a baby-"
"No-"
"I won't be anywhere near you. I just want you comfortable." Lilith says stopping as Charlotte hits the wall with a loud thud, Lilith's face contorts in a grimace at the sound and she steps forward only to have Charlotte shrink away. Taking a deep breath Lilith put some space between them, "Is your head okay? That sounded bad-"
"I'm fine. And I don't need your bed-" Lilith couldn't take it the distance was too wide for her liking, not being able to check Charlotte's head after the thud got to her and she moved faster than Charlotte could process. Suddenly she was standing in front of the shorter woman checking her head for any sign of a need for medical aid. Just as quickly as she was there she was back in her spot a few feet away from Charlotte, her hands behind her back and a small smile on her face.
"You think it's funny to intrude on someone's personal space?" Charlotte yelled.
