I guess Chiaki is paying a little attention. She's hearing select words, anyway. She definitely picked out "library" anyway.
This page has a sad tone, but I still find it kinda funny how practical Chiaki is being for what might be somewhat impractical reasons. To be fair though, all she knows about her situation is what she's learned from storylines in anime and games, so perhaps it's as logical as anything else for her to think, "I've warped to a fantasy world, so I might be destined to save it." But the logic leap of "getting a job at the local library to avoid saving the world" amuses me just a bit.
Also Fire Emblem, Zelda, and Dragon Quest 5 daydreams to qualify her thought process today.
