He was fighting alongside his best friend, Zach.

They used to be best friends.
It was the biggest war in the last 2000 years!
In the year 2040,
Thomas wanted to quit so many times,
but Zach kept him going.
The war had been going on for 3 years.
Twenty million people had started this war,
and now there were only seven million people left.
"I'm done, I'll just hide from everything and everyone"
Said Thomas!
"I just can't do this anymore."
"But you can't! We almost killed Herumy, remember?"
Said Zack!
"Yes, I remember... But I also remember us almost DIEING!!"
"Well, that's not my fault!"
Zach Shouted!
"You said you could take her on by yourself."
"That went terribly wrong, didn't it."
"Well, you weren't that much help either!!"
Yelled Thomas!
"Did you hear that?" Someone said in the distance.
"I got reports on a commotion over by the canyon,
I want you to go check it out" said Herumy to the second in command.
"YES MA'AM!" Said the second in command who was named Lenore.
"If there is anyone there bring them to me" Herumy stated.
Herumy had a hoarse voice, was quite tall, had gold blond hair,
and was wearing a black leather jacket with brown pants.
"Where is Anthony, Lenore" Herumy asked.
Anthony was third in command.
Lenore didn't answer.
"I SAID WHERE IS ANTHONY!"
"H..h..he's sneaking up on the people in the canyon."
"WHAT!?!!"
Herumy took out a device and clicked a few buttons.
A portal opened up beneath her and she fell through it.
Anthony was slowly sneaking up on Thomas and Zach.
Thomas was rushing to pack their stuff before anyone found them.
Anthony took this opportunity to strike, but unfortunately for him, Zach had spotted him earlier and was hiding in one of the tents right before beheading him.
"What the he-"
Thomas was interrupted by a portal opening up right by Zach, with Herumy walking through.
She saw Anthony laying on the floor.
Enraged she drew her sword and knocked the two of them out.
They didn't fight back because they were too confused on how she got there.
