Walking up once again in a lightless void, I couldn't help but wonder if this was what fate had in store for me—randomly waking up in the dark of an unfamiliar place.
If the God of Fate exists, I need to speak with them because this is getting out of hand.
'Twice now? Back to back? Do something different for once, would ya?!?'
Settling into the environment I was bound to meet again, I found myself alone with my thoughts, the only distraction I had. That is if I could avoid the memories of the terrible events that had unfolded over the last few days.
Ironically, I couldn't even tell how long it had been since Lucifero ended my life. It might have been mere minutes or several days ago; the uncertainty gnawed at me.
Scratching my head, I couldn't help but notice that my confinement was a bit different this time.
'Wait a second...'
Scratch my head?
I have a body again! This is excellent news! But wait, I can't see my hands.
'Do I not have eyes? Or maybe I'm blind? Have I already met my end and found myself trapped in the third cycle? What in the Terra is going on? This can't be right; surely I would recall if I had died once more... right? But if my second demise was particularly horrific, could it be that I've forgotten?'
"Damnit! Can't anything go my way for once?"
Instead, a strange gargling sound escaped my lungs.
'Don't tell me I can't speak either?!?'
