Perplexing, the absence of the hindrance converted what was supposed to be a nice solitary trip into a weirdly dull, lifeless evening.
In a matter of hours, the much appreciated silence was disrupting an impatient man who perked up whenever a light appeared.
"Yet another false alarm." dismayed, the child of the prophecy kept on his non ending travel to the cursed temple.
"Just hurry up and come back." Sachar mumbled, the overawed Fayez flicked his tongue out.
"Don't get too excited." The distrustful master instructed his unloyal azure serpent who mowed.
A brimming flash surged, a certain spoiled brat gradually took shape, growing visible her troubled expression which pushed him into a worried daze.
Tears rolled down as she poured her heart out, her partner stood there almost aloof, although he listened to everything which was more consoling than if he had spoken.
"My employees care about me more than my own parents!" The rich girl punched a tree, scowling.
"All I ever wanted was for them to look my way, just once." She moved her hand up, letting her fingers half closed.
"Even the reason I was going to be a lawyer wasn't for me." The ex-law student covered her face, distasteful.
"When I was smaller I thought dad loved lawyers since he had so many." The politician's daughter winced, leaning her back on the tree.
"I found out he needed them to keep himself free to do his ploys!" The model's daughter slowly scouched on the grass."I tried so hard, even so they would never…"
"I was a fool for thinking they would realize their buried love for me." Lowering her head in shame, the brunette frowned, sorrowful."You can't unbury what never existed."
The stoic man observed distant, meaning to say something but the words evaded his mind, his compassionate look talked for him.
That night, frustrations faded away into a promising new sunrise, not so much for her personal ancient evil who she noticed to be fairly worried about her.
"Sachy." The man who used to ignore her calls until there was no other option, swiftly responded. Not simply that, he was from time to time voluntarily checking on her.
I knew it, this cranky guy knows how to be nice! Which means I was deprived of good treatment this whole time, I'll get him for that!
"This is my thanks for the free therapy session yesterday." The queen of puffy eyes held a toy dragon, he glanced twice in disgust at it and at her.
"It's always been your dream to own an otherworldly beast, right?" The little sheep made fun of him with the most angelic smile.
The dead fish eyes along his mouth twisted downwards evidentiated his level of gratitude, absolutely none. Whilst, the pampered girl was cracking up at the prank.
"Let's get back on track." The master of the otherworldly toy dragon handed her heavy luggage which he had been carrying.
"Incongruence, you were being kind a second ago!" The queen of puffy eyes begged for mercy, though his rispid response proved her humiliation to be worthless."Then you shouldn't have ruined it."
Not a mile from lifting her own weight, the unathletic girl was groaning in distaste, of the dozen of complaints crossing her mind, one was the champion of repeating itself.
For a fantasy world, my experience so far is anything but magical. Isn't there a bright person to use a bit of this virx thing and make a car?!
I'm not riding one of those dirty wagons, sadly carriages are too flashy for people who are trying to lay low… ugh, I'll clean his name myself otherwise I won't get to enjoy some luxury!
"I need a taxi..." Moving limply one foot after the other, the shopaholic dropped her baggage and threw herself on it."I give up."
"Wait for me." Sachar went into some abandoned, high risk haunted ruins, truly even in bright daylight the place looked dreadful.
"Oh, must be the cursed temple… it surely looks cursed." Squirming, the pampered girl tiptoed her way in, vigilant to not get caught.
Her personal ancient evil directed himself to a relatively well taken care of garden, a female spy fabulously hid behind a big rock to overhear the strictly confidential talk.
"It's rude to show up without forewarning, my uninvited guest." A raucous voice was mildly satisfied could be heard from the shadows.
"The rumors were plenty of anticipated notices." The man retorted, pressing for answers."You are aware of what I'm here for, shall we shorten our meeting?"
"Rude and restless, what a disastrous combination." The seer brought to light the truth and her white hair, almond eyes and wrinkled porcelain skin."I twisted your prophecy out of fear."
My parents suffered since my birth, my existence was denied before it even began all because of a pesky lie!
For years I've fought to not become the monster the prophecy foresaw, going against my own fate when actually it was never mine to begin with. A wretched distortion could've been the end of me!
The floor shook, small cracks were forming themselves, a big crevasse was opening, growing bigger by eating away the ground, ceasing centimeters aways from the liar.
"It's audacious of me but…" In a tremulous voice the older woman asked."Listen to what I have to say!"
"What does the prophecy really say about me?"
"It says you could destroy the world, not that you will." Fretting, the elder got herself a speech full of justifications on her part, frantically explaining it in one breath.
"Our world goes round thanks to magic and you were born with a tremendous amount of it. For that reason If you lose control of yourself even for a minute … That would create a disaster!"
"I won't let that happen." The arkav did not transpire any uneasiness.
"That's a burden too heavy to shoulder alone." Stuttering, she elaborated."I suggest you find someone to bring you back in case you ever lose your mind."
"Really?" Incredulous, he inquired with a bit of arrogance.
"In fact, I could-" About to appoint herself, the seer was negated.
"I can control myself." He affirmed secure of himself.
"That's what I'm afraid of." Her hateful glare exposed her insincerity."In case you were to do it on purpose…"
"You'd be unstoppable." Her shakiness was replaced by an unwavering tone, the seer arranged herself in battle position."I must eliminate you before that."
"Your concern is touching." The Tharinar waited for her attack.
