In case anyone needs more context: deities, while common and known to be real in this world, usually don't directly interact with mortals (directly showing yourself to a mortal and using plain direct language is particularly frowned upon, since deities are not allowed to excessively influence mortals). Especially those that aren't worshippers. Each deity is usually responsible for a certain "portfolio", or aspect of the world. There's also a very powerful deity council that keeps all the deities under control, and makes sure nobody is using their powers inappropriately. So there being an unknown deity that isn't allowed to share what they're the deity of is...strange to say the least
Based on a homebrew dnd campaign; a small comic as a gift for our DM's birthday!
Note: due to scheduling issues the style of the comic changes drastically about halfway through, just as a heads up
Ok, now for what the comic is actually about:
In a distant magical universe, a small research base establishes itself to investigate a forest planet on a different plane of existence.
In the research base, an investigation team forms, consisting of:
- Aeryn, a trition (fish people basically) scientist with a lot of anxiety and family issues. She came to the base only recently to assist with the research.
-Calen, a sentient plant person that belongs to the native population. She's a physical fighter, that helps out with security and navigating the planet's terrain. She also only recently joined.
-Sam, a tabaxi (cat people basically) that's been with the base for a while. She also works as a security guard, but mostly specializes on more agility based fighting.
-and lastly, Snap. A bunny girl that's close with Sam, and serves as a pilot for the base.
The team sets out on a standard gathering mission, wanting to travel to a shop on a nearby plane. But as Snap flies them there, things don't go as planned, and they end up in a mysterious void; cut off from any communication with the outside world. What is this void? And, more importantly, are they really alone in it?
