"I'm sorry my friend's not answering her messages so I'm trying to call her to make sure she's awake and on her way to school, I hope you don't mind waiting a bit."

"No, it's fine. I'd be worried too if my friend was not responding"

The short Asian tapped their foot anxiously on the tiled floors, I seemed to tower over them as I was a good foot above, they had fluffy platinum blonde hair that stopped a bit past their shoulders and an eyebrow piercing, they seemed years younger than me with their colorful oversized sweater and plaid skirt but the lady at the front desk informed me that they were only in the year below, but they were already the student council president and they were really lovely so it was all good.

When I got to the front desk earlier to receive my schedule with my brother, I was already agitated because Beitidh was not with us and I was worried she was going to be late so I  was surprised to hear that we would be receiving different tour guides, meaning we would have to be separated but after meeting my tour guide I wasn't so bothered. 

The first thing they did was tell me their pronouns, they bounced into the room and said they were gender fluid and went by they/them, they then proceeded to introduce themselves as Katsumi Suzuki but that they went by Sumi. Now we were in front of the head office while she had tried to reach her friend for the past 10 minutes.

"She's not picking up her phone, I'll just call her later. Are you ready to begin your tour ?"

"Yh, I want to get accustomed to the school as fast as possible and hopefully get along with my classmates"

"Oh don't worry about making friends, I'm sure you'll fit right in, besides I'll introduce you to my friends, they'll definitely love your tattoos, and red hair, and besides you're fucking hot. You're Scottish right?"

I chuckled at their bluntness 

"Thanks for the consideration, and yh I'm from Scottland. I'll be honored to meet your friends." 

"That's good to know. Everybody is currently in the assembly hall so I'll be able to show you around the whole school without disturbance. Let's get your books and put them in your locker first, lemme see your schedule.

I took out the paper from my pocket and showed it to them, they scanned the paper and nodded, They then grabbed my hand and started walking down the halls.

We had walked around the school for about 45 minutes and Katsumi had been very detailed with their explanations and directions, I felt as though I had been in the school all my life. We were walking past the cafeteria when I started hearing loud laughter and voices.

"It seems like the assembly for the new session is over, let us get your books for your first class, it's advanced biology and If I know anyone in the class I'll introduce them, is that okay ?'

"Yh that's fine, I'll really appreciate that. I'm actually just worried that people may think I'm strange or make fun of my freckles."

"No of course not, people may stare at you but only because you're really hot and they may want to bone you"

"Ummm, I'm gay so I think it should be the other way round cause I'm also a top, but thanks for the encouragement. I'm ready to get my books for class now"

"Oh you're gay, well that's good to know, I'm queer and gender fluid as you may already know so you really don't mind but one of my friends may umm"

"You're friend may what? I hope I'm not going to make anyone uncomfortable"

"No no no, that's not the case at all, let's just go. The hallways are about to get really crowded so we better get moving now"

With that, they started pulling me down the hallways and I was going to question them a bit more about the pause they took but then I started noticing the whispers, I looked around and saw the students gawking at me, they seemed to make a path for me to walk through and didn't even try to hide the curiosities. I felt like turning back and walking right out the school doors but Sumi kept tugging me toward my locker and at that moment a smell wafted through the air, it was intense but I knew the source was not close yet. I stopped in my tracks as though the very scent had enchanted me.

" Mai why are you stopping, are you okay ?"

Sumi looked at me concerned and I was about to respond when someone crashed into me, I reached out and grabbed the person's waist to steady them and that's when their smell hit me, it was the smell from before but stronger and more intoxicating, I wanted to snuggle into her neck and smell the person all day. I looked down and realized it was a girl, she had a septum and several piercings on her ears, her hair was loose with green sections in her black hair and her lips were heavily glossed making her already full lips look more enticing. All in all, she was hot and I hadn't even taken a proper look at her yet.

"Um, hi. Are you okay ?"

 

The girl didn't answer me and instead stared deep into my eyes and seemed to pull me closer, I gripped her waist tighter and realized how small and toned her waist felt, I still wasn't over her smell and I had no idea what the exact scent was but it seemed like a mixture of smells.

"RIONA"

Sumi screamed and I guessed that was the girl's name, she seemed to step out of a trance and she instantly pushed me away, completely disregarding me and that's when I noticed people had stopped and stared at the exchange I had with the girl and they seemed to look at me with envy and curiosity. I looked behind me only to notice the girl Riona had run off leaving me alone with Sumi once again.

"She was beautiful, is that your friend? She smelt great but I couldn't pinpoint her exact scent, I feel like I can bottle her up and smell her every day for comfort"

"Oh, Rio drinks coffee or tea at least five times a day and she uses men's perfume and she smokes so it's a mixture of those smells, and yh people always say she's a beauty."

That's what she smelt like, bloody coffee. I've hated coffee for a while now but just a few moments ago I wanted to bury myself in her smell and I also found her unimaginably attractive, I felt like running after her and asking her out right then and there.

"Is she single?"

"Umm, yh she is but she, um she doesn't really swing that way and she doesn't really like such you know "

"She's straight ?!! What do you mean she doesn't like it? Is she a homophobe?"

"Oh, you don't believe she's straight or what? I never said she's homophobic so let's just get to your class before you're late on your first day."

With that Sumi began pulling me again toward my destination but I still felt uneasy about her previous statements. I found the Riona girl very attractive and I hadn't even seen her properly so I hoped she actually wasn't homophobic if not that will be a problem for me and if the growth in my pants indicated anything it was that I wouldn't be able to get over her quickly.
