A Not-So-Graceful Entrance

(he) barely made it before (his) body finally gave out, which made (his) entrance neither graceful nor silent as (he) flopped on deck, startling the crew members. The first mate who was at the helm locked the wheel in place before dashing over to them, his blade drawn. All the ninja could do was barely look up at him, staring down his blade. Now there was no doubt, this was a pirate ship & the first mate was not happy to have a ninja on deck. But as he examined the ninja further wondering "Why isn't it attacking?" he noticed they were clenching their side in pain, then noticed all the blood on their clothing & on the deck around them. He put his blade away, figuring it would be shameful to kill someone who was wounded without provocation, even if that "someone" was a ninja. The ninja then passed out do to exhaustion and blood loss.
