"Lady Shamhat, the mission to cross the bridge is ongoing, we shall be at the bridge within 30 minutes," a voice says over the communication device.

Lady Shamhat sat on her throne with her legs crossed as she was being served wine by her servants, "This mission is important for the future of Choshire, we must find out the truth behind this world. If this mission sees positive results, I shall grant you any wish you'd like Lieutenant Morris," she commanded over the device.

There was a new lieutenant appointed for the mission, he would lead a group of the strongest soldiers in Luitol toward the bridge to find what really is beneath Choshire. The mission was being executed as soon as possible, in order to have no one interfering with the mission.

"Elän sinua varten!" the lieutenant yelled over the communication device as he hung up.

It was the second time in the history of Choshire, at least for the past ten years, that a new attempt will be made to cross the bridge. Lady Shamhat wanted to know the truth behind the world at hand, she wanted the power of knowledge.

As the minutes pass, they soon reached the long-rumored gate, decorated with dragons and bulls. This was surely their destination, this time Lady Shamhat had given them plenty of equipment to work with. She was well aware of the result of the last mission; they had all sorts of tools to help with their survival.

The lieutenant kneeled in front of the gate as the soldiers stand behind him, "We must not fail this mission, for the sake of our town, for the sake of Lady Shamhat," he screamed as he put his fist in the air.

The soldiers rushed into the bridge as they saw the signal, equipped with torches to go through the darkness. The lieutenant followed behind the soldiers as they rushed through the bridge, the torches would light up enough to be able to see each other.

"We came here to survive, go back to Lady Shamhat, and report what we found. It doesn't matter if only one of us comes back, you shall report your findings to her immediately," the lieutenant commanded as he ran through the bridge.

Thirty minutes had passed, "Lieutenant, do you notice something?" one of the soldiers mentioned as they kept rushing down the bridge.

It had been thirty minutes; the bridge had been rumored to be a two-day journey. One of the soldiers noticed something however, "I do. The bridge hasn't changed whatsoever, it feels as if we've been rushing through the same section of the bridge," the lieutenant said as he stopped running.

The soldiers also stopped; the lieutenant then decided to run back from where they had come from. "I'll be right back," Lt. Morris said as he rushed back towards where they had come from.

The soldiers watched the lieutenant disappear as he went past the light they had. Some were confused to see Lt. Morris do what he was doing, but some were already caught up in what he was doing. "Right here," Lt. Morris said as he showed up behind the soldiers.

Everyone was in shock, the whole time they were rushing the bridge it was for nothing. The bridge was simply a loop, they would return to the same spot on the bridge regardless of what they did.

Suddenly, the bridge started to shake. The soldiers grabbed from the sides of the bridge, in order not to fall from it, "I'm so happy to see you here Morris," a voice said from somewhere within the bridge.

"What?" Lt. Morris was confused, he didn't recognize the voice, and couldn't see the source of the voice. He looked around trying to find out where the voice had come from, but it was futile.

Out of terror, the soldiers scrambled and ran forward to attempt to save themselves. However, there was nothing they could do. The sound of a gun firing could be heard from within the darkness, as the bridge fell from underneath the soldiers.

The next day in the early morning, Lady Shamhat tried to contact the soldiers; however, she only heard blank noise coming from the communication device. It appeared as if someone answered, but nothing would come from the other end.

A week had passed since Lyririe declared war against Luitol for treason against humanity. Luitol had broken the treaty that they had signed to not cross the Choshire bridge, and Lyririe had no plan to look past it.

The second mission to cross the bridge has now been recognized as a failure, none of the soldiers had come back from their mission, and the world was curious as to why no one ever returned from the bridge.

On this day, Enkita and Eve start their first day of training for the Stiletto force as recruits. They were now in a training facility located within Lyririe's empire, inside the Eins territory, where the Stiletto division operates.

Lyririe's empire is most of Krester's land, however; Lyririe's empire is also comprised of four territories. The Zwei territory is the capital of the empire, Drei is where the Maenadic forces operate, and Vier is where the highest ruling members of Lyririe reside.

The recruiting process with the Stiletto forces is more like a competition, there are over 400 recruits. The training facility was huge, having all of the equipment they needed, rooms for each of the recruits, and fighting practice grounds.

All of the 400 recruits were now standing in front of their director. The person that will train them for the upcoming three years, a tall woman with black hair wearing the uniform that Stiletto higher-ups wear.

"My name is Weiss, you must call me Director Weiss, welcome to your first day of training. I shall not hold back on anyone, this battle will determine the future of Choshire as well," she said as she watched each of the recruits while they stood firmly.

Enkita and Eve wore recruit uniforms, stood firmly, and had serious looks on their faces. They were determined for whatever they had to be put through during their training.

"We will start by introducing ourselves, including the reason you're here, and your name of course," Director Weiss ordered as she started attempting to intimidate everyone.

Everyone started introducing themselves, and all of the 400 recruits stated all the information that was asked of them as ordered.

"My name is Kezdar, I'm here to serve Lyririe," a young man said.

"My name is Lilian, I'm here to serve Lyririe," a young woman said.

Enkita trembled as he watched people introduce themselves, he was to introduce himself after Eve. "My name is Eve, I'm here to serve Lyririe," she said while sweating from her nervousness.

Enkita gulped as he stared at Eve while she finished her introduction, "My name is Enkita, I'm here to - to serve for Lyririe," he exclaimed.

Director Weiss had a disapproving look on her face, "I would like to hear your introduction one more time, but this time. I'd prefer if it was louder," she ordered.

Once again, Enkita gulped, "My name is Enkita, I am here to serve Lyririe," he yelled.

Director Weiss moved on to the next person, the introductions continued for several hours, and they had to stand in place while the sun shone on them.

After the introductions ended, a few higher-ranking officers showed up with multiple boxes. "We have your equipment here; you will use these to fight in the war," Director Weiss declared as she opened the boxes in front of them.

Weiss stood in front of them and showed them a device she had attached to her leg. "This device is called Hegira; these devices will be your lifeline for any scenario that may come, but before anything I must explain in detail what these devices do," she said as she pointed at the device.

Hegira is a small device that is attached to the leg, it is able to show many useful stats such as wildlife and human health, recognize weaknesses using smart technology, fire soundwaves potent enough to kill wildlife, and is able to create an artificial blade that can kill others.

There are downsides to Hegira, it is not able to be unequipped as it will result in the immediate death of the user.

The recruits looked at Weiss in disbelief after she explained the device, "Director, how does this work? I've never heard of this weird thing," Enkita questioned.

Director Weiss stared at Enkita as she grabbed one of the Hegira devices, "This device runs through your soul, your ability and energy will power this device. Since you were so curious about Hegira, you may as well be the first to engage your own," she ordered as she walked toward Enkita.

Hegira technology was found within Krester, and all the documentation and necessary resources were also collected within Krester. The documentation is said to be from decades ago.

Director Weiss handed the Hegira gear to Enkita, "Show us what Hegira truly looks like," she said with a grin across her face.

Enkita walked with Weiss up to the front, everyone was watching him, and he didn't like it. Enkita's heart raced as he slowly equipped the Hegira gear to his leg and that's where everything changed.

What the hell? I can see so many things. What - what the. I can't understand what is showing up, what is all this? How does this work?

Enkita was freaking out as he engaged Hegira, his vision had been enhanced. He could see his health information, and wildlife around the area, and he had a visual cue that would allow him to summon his artificial blade.

Everyone watched as he freaked out wondering what was happening to him, "There's not much to learn about Hegira, it should all be straightforward. Now, it's time for the rest of you to pick up your gear in order and engage it," Director Weiss said as she watched Enkita.

An hour passed as everyone engaged their equipment, some of the recruits seemed weak. "As I mentioned, Hegira gear is highly dependent on the soul, the energy that you possess, and your ability to control it. If you have a weak link to it, you may pass out, or even fall unconscious permanently," Director Weiss laughed.

Enkita had returned to his spot next to Eve, they had both engaged their Hegira; however, Eve suddenly collapsed on Enkita. "What the - Are you okay?" Enkita questioned with a worried look on his face.

Eve opened her eyes, "I apologize, I felt light-headed for a moment, but I am okay," she replied while blushing.

A few of the higher-ranking officers had come in to pick up around 50 of the recruits as they had fallen unconscious due to a weak link with Hegira.

Director Weiss looked at everyone, "Our schedule goes as follows, we will set up all of our equipment in the morning, attend this check-up during noon, and complete an assignment at the end of the day. After training is complete in the following years, each recruit must pass a final exam that will result in either life or death," she declared.

The sun started setting as Director Weiss stated the schedule, "We will now return to the lobby, recruits must have dinner now," she ordered as she walked toward the entrance of a separate facility.

People kept falling to the ground, and even at that point, some people were too weak to handle Hegira. It was a shocking sight to see for the recruits, they had finally been let free to eat food. They had been standing there for many hours, and they weren't even sure if the day was over for training. It was tough, even when they had to do nothing but watch.
