Ring. Ring. Ring.

Ugh! I don’t want to go to work.  I have been working for about 2 months. This is my first major project and I am leading the design team. I have to make the best of it. My company is creating an ultra-smart computer system for Daewoo Motors and we are in charge of the mechanical and thermal system design. We have to design, develop, build, and test mechanical and thermal sensors. And I can’t be late today.

The team of the company and the lead for the entire project is a very popular Alpha and is more feminine looking than other Alphas. He is very beautiful. He has managed to turn this company around in just the four years that he’s been here. He conducts all interviews and scans all resumes. I was so glad to be chosen and put as lead. But I am sure that has to do with my grades and professor recommendations.

“Good morning, everyone.” Our team leader greeted as he walked through the door. Yeah. He is very beautiful. I am more alpha looking then he is.

“Good morning Mr. Yu." I responded with a bow.

“Morning Team Leader.” The others replied.

He stopped in the middle of the floor. “The CEO is downstairs. So, look alive.”

"Mr. Hwang can you see me in my office after you finish giving instructions.” That was weird, he has an interesting smell coming from him. Maybe I was mistaken. Let's get to work.

“Yes sir. Of course.” I smiled gently. There is that smell again. But what is that? I swear could feel his gentle glare. Whoa.

If I am being honest, I can’t deny his attractiveness. Everyone mentions how he doesn't come off as an Alpha. In my opinion that's why he is so damn attractive. If I was an Omega, I would definitely try my hand. However, I am a beta and let's be real. No one wants a beta. That’s why I don’t stand a chance.

Okay, tasks are handed out. Time to go see what the Team Leader needs from me.

I knock on the door waiting for a response. "Mr. Jin, it's me, may I come in." I wonder what Mr. Jin wanted.

“Come in Mr. Hwang, take a seat." He guided to me to the chair in front of his desk.

“You wanted to see me, sir?” I sit in the chair across from his desk crossing my legs.

“Yes, I was looking over the blueprints for the systems and I have to say that I am very impressed.” He looks at me like he is waiting for something to happen.

I flinch because I can feel his stares again. I snap back because I almost forget I was sitting in from of our team lead. “O-oh, thank you sir. It was actually a team effort.”

“But you are the leader, are you not? It has to go through you before it goes to me.” He has a point but still. "Therefore, you had the final say so before I looked at it. So, I'll say again. I am highly impressed. Great Work!"

I just give a huge but professional smile. “That is correct. Thank you, sir.”

He sat the files aside and locks his finger and looks back up at me. “I think we should, talk about this more later. Let’s call it… a dinner meeting.”

“Sorry, I have to politely decline. I already have plans tonight and I can’t reschedule. Another time?” I smile hoping I didn't offend him.

His gave me a smile back. “Sure, why not. We have lots of time left on the project.”

“Alright, have a good day sir.” I bow and leave.

I am not sure why, but Mr. Jin has been coming off rather flirty. Is he unaware that I am a beta? Or maybe I am looking too much into this. He is very friendly with everyone. Yeah. It’s just my imagination. No need to look into it too much but, I felt something coming from him. I can't get unfocused now. I slap both cheeks and get back to work.

During lunch I check over all the files that needed to be finalized. This team is very impressive. They rarely need to re-do the work. I am glad I have such great workers for this project. We could be finishing up the project in the next two weeks. It’s a sixteen-week project but we will definitely have it completed in ten weeks. And we already have the system coded for all Daewoo vehicles from 2022 to 2045. Of course, we will be working on new coding just in case of any issues with newer models. Better safe than sorry.

I check the clock on the wall. "It's that time already. Time flies when you have work to do."

Today me and Jeyhun are going to the club. But after what happened previously, I won't lie and say that I am not nervous. Jeyhun seem fine so I keep a strong poker face, so that I don't make him nervous or remind him of that time.

I open the code for Jeyhun's condo. JEYHUN?!!”

He shoots his head out the door of his room. “Yohan!!! Aye, you ready to party?!!!”

“Yesssss! Let’s go." How can I even be nervous when he is this excited?  “Club Kitten, here we come.”

When we enter the club, everyone is having a good time. Me and Jeyhun hit the bar for our regular drink. "I am going to dance." I say in Jeyhun's ear.

"Okay, I'll be there in 5 minutes, I want to finish this drink and then grab another."

I reply okay and head to the dance floor.

Five minutes pass and go to look for Yohan. I see him on the dance floor. But who is that dancing with Yohan? I walk toward them to get a better look.

"Whoa! Is that their pheromones? Wow they are super strong." But wait that person is an Alpha? What the hell. He totally looks like an Omega. He is definitely Yohan’s type. He loves pretty Alphas. I walk towards them. They look so interested in Yohan too. The pheromones say it for sure. Too bad he can't feel them. They look like they are getting along, lots of chemistry. Hehe! I will leave him be.

“My name is Yohan, its helps when you dancing partner is good as well.” I grab behind me to grab his neck.

“Yohan, I think you’re very attractive. Let's keep dancing, hm?” He grabs my waist pulling me closer.

My body has that warm feeling again. It's a bit stronger but we are dancing so I mean. Makes since not to mention all the bodies releasing heat as well.

“Sure, you are very enticing and I can’t even see your face.” God, I could fall in love with their dancing skills.

“Then, why don’t you turn and face me.” He turns me around and my heart drops.

“M-Mr. Jin? What are you doing here?”

“Call me Daeshim. We're not in a professional setting."

“Mr. Jin, I should go.” I turn to dash away.

He grabbed my arm and held me close. “Don’t run from me Yohan. Don't you know I've been trying to hit on you all this time.”

Shit. I can’t deny it, he is a great dancer. Also, he looks damn good outside of work. Maybe this isn’t that bad.

Mr. Jin keeps touching my body while we dance to this slow song. Caressing my neck, down my chest, grabbing my waist pulling me closer. Shit, I can feel him at half-mast. He’s not even fully erect and it’s this big? Damn. It’s turning me on.

I hear him sniff me.  “Wait, Yohan. You are releasing, pheromones It’s an extremely light smell absolutely amazing! Better than any omega I have smelled before.” He bites my neck.

I don’t know what was going on but when I turned around and I looked into his eyes they were a crimson red and he was panting and his body started to heat up. Based on that, I would say that he is about to go into a rut! But hold on wait, did he say I was releasing pheromones. That’s impossible. I am a beta, it’s not possible. Damn. This feels so good. We have to leave and go to my place, who know how long he is going to be in a rut.

I give him his medicine that was in his pocket and call a cab home. I hope they last long enough or we will be paying for the cleaning of his cab.

Before I opened my door. He was about to put it in me. I had to hurry and open the door. The moment the door closed behind me, he was all over me and in a full rut! I don’t know how long this is going to take but I am glad it’s the weekend…

“Shit! Did I pass out? Where is Mr. Jin.”

“You’re awake. Did you sleep well?”

“I made breakfast. I have to go into work. You can come later. I will give the team tasks.”

“Oh, and If I didn’t know any better, I would say that you went into heat. I knew you were a beta but you definitely released a lot of pheromones last night. Again, it was light it didn’t smell like an Omega but there were definitely some pheromones being released.”

“Huh?” Me releasing pheromones? No, that’s. That’s not possible. Maybe he was mistaken. I have been a beta for 26 years and now I emitting pheromones. I don’t believe that. I’ll go to the Doctor and get checkup.

On the way to the doctor, I was very nervous. He said I release pheromones but they weren’t omega pheromones. I never heard of that before.

“Yohan, so the results are strange. You definitely are still beta, but you have very small pheromone glands.” I look at my doctor shocked.

“Whaaaaat? How did that even happen? How do I have a pheromone gland?”

“It’s not impossible but it’s a rare occurrence. We have seen betas become Alphas or even omegas. But you are a Beta that has low level pheromones. You don’t have a uterus so with that you aren’t Omega. But either way, the glands were dormant. Some one must have been flooding you with pheromones and since you are beta you were clueless.

“We have been studying this for years but no one knows why. But you will not go into heat or get pregnant. Some would love this. But there is nothing to be concerned about. We do want to monitor you often to see if your pheromone levels get stronger or remain the same.” She hands me a card. “Please call me in any emergencies.”

I can’t believe I can release pheromones! I have to call can tell Jeyhun. Shit! I forgot we were at a club! Where’s my phone?

I grab my phone and see a message from Jeyhun. Yohan, don’t worry. I got home just fine. I called Taesung and he came a got me. Oh, thank God! I don’t need a repeat if the last time. I will call just to check on him.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

“Hello.”

“JEYHUN!!”

“Oww! Why are you yelling?”

“Jeyhun, I can release pheromones!”

“Wait. What! Omg! Yes! How did it happen?”

“To be honest, I don’t know. According to Mr. Jin, I started releasing pheromones in the middle of sex and passed out

“Whoa. That’s some powerful dick! He fucked you into an OMEGA! LOL”

“Hahaha! But I am not omega just a Beta with low pheromone levels.”

“Oh okay, but listen me and Taesung are going to lunch. Call me later.”

“Sure thing.”

“I can’t believe it.” Tears fall from eyes.

I am so happy. My whole life I was teased about being beta. My whole family is dominant. Both Omegas and Alphas alike. My brother was born an Alpha! He could feel pheromones 3 days after birth! I was the biggest disappointment and they disowned me. But I learned to keep smiling and pushing forward. I started to study harder and this led me to meet Jeyhun. He didn’t look down on me for being beta. Then I met Taesung who was equally nice to me. Also, my boss Mr. Jin who also didn’t care if I was beta, showed interest in me. While he has some questionable ways of flirting, he never made me feel less than him. Being a beta was hard until I met these people. I am grateful for everyone I have met. Now, that I am releasing pheromones, my life might change. For better or for worse, I know they will all support me along the way. I have some things to learn. Now it’s time to head to work!
