In the village of Droptupp, humans and demon insects have once lived among each other in peace, until the bloodsport of demonic combat entered their lives. At first this was a friendly sport of wrestling, but over time it became more and more savage to the point of it being a cruel sport where enthusiastic spectators cheered on the deaths of demon insects. Fear and misconception seeped into the minds of humans and a war began with the rise of rebellious insects.
The battle raged and the humans reigned victorious, throwing the insect demons into a chasm to be forgotten for all of eternity. While cleaning up the debris of war, a girl named Vail falls into the chasm and must find her way out as she learns the secrets of a society once forgotten.
