Over the course of a few days both dragons and the Sendoria citizens bonded, either a family had only one or two, or each person had their own taking either fully grown dragons to even baby dragons to even having a dragon egg from a clutch of different species.
I was happy that my children were bonding with the other creatures and even in different kingdoms and empires. I also learned that the humans and elves came up with a system of time. Each day had five major time points: dawn, day, evening, dusk, and night. Each day had different names, the first called Mariel, the second Zeliah, third Maelaph, fourth Hadran, fifth Biniyah, the sixth Gavriel, the seventh Pyriel, the eighth Fetu and the ninth Boruk. The nine days are called a week and a cluster of weeks are called a month.
The humans and elves have determined with how primus rotates around Solair that there are four hundred and sixty days in a year and divided those days into thirteen months with different amounts of days. While some months were named with a particular type of season. For winter into spring the months are; Gadriel, Rariel, and Sariel. For Spring into summer the months are; Jundej, Amah, Helio, and Nenu. For summer to fall the months are; Fek, Morno, and Celestio. Then for fall into winter, as well as the months with the most amount of days and the nighttime of these days, themselves being much longer then the daytime, are; Gregdor, Umbriel, and Descio.
The month I found out we were in was the seventh day of Jundej. I smiled softly as I watched the Sendoria kingdom's citizens all dance and cheer while my children joined in with finding the right person to bond with. And as if by some miracle once bonded, it turned out that some humans could use magic with the help of their dragon companion.
Yet the most powerful of the humans were the royal family. The queen had powerful healing and earth magic while the king was able to wield fire and water magic. As a respect to their dragons they had. Sarvek my child who bonded with the queen, was given his name by her and Tarluk’s name given by Drogan, the king's bonded dragon.
I loved how many of my children were now receiving names, as another surprise befell me. Once given a name, a bonded dragon's magic grew more powerful than before. As an example Tarluk, a child born from a water and fire dragon, wasn’t very skilled at fire spells but very talented with water breathing and making water spouts, yet after being named he was able to cast fire and lava magic as well as some ice spells. It was meaningful to me how the bonding of my children with the gifts from Mother god and the others truly worked together in this world.
I spent a lot of time in the river, not knowing how much I truly needed its cooling waters on my scales. I wondered why the clearing I was in was so flushed with flowers and trees after my arrival. Now being in the river made me see that my natural heat off my star-dusted scales is what brought such lushness to such an empty spot. Even in the few days I’ve been in this spot I’ve seen coral growth as well and lots of underwater plant life in my wake.
As the month neared its last few days the twenty-ninth to the thirty-first would be the last days of this month-long festival. I loved seeing the creatures coming with such celebration over the course of the years. The month before this was Sariel, also known as the goddess month. It only has a week-long celebration from when I arrived so many years ago, but is still celebrated to this day.
As I spent my days in the river I came to know it was called Calisto’s dream. I've played with many different Sendorian children that came to wade into the waters and splash around. I let them slide down my tail while some played with friendly aqua creatures. It was nice and relaxing watching them laugh and playing with each other. Drogan even joined in when he had the time after getting his studies done.
It was entertaining to see them all having fun, even my children joined in the fun. Some diving deep to get at smaller water creatures to eat and some to play with as well. They all played with water magic and spells which then got me thinking. Looking around I waded over slowly to shore then resting my head on the soft sand. Noticing me some of the children moved closer and tenderly hugged onto my snout. I chuckled softly before noticing a druid elf child. He had soft features, pure white-silver hair and left eye golden right eye green with a brown hue. I could tell he had potential from who his parents were.
The child noticed my staring and blushed softly. He looked at me with awe and wonderment. He stood up and ran carefully towards me, softly wringing his fingers on his pants bottoms.
“ Come child don’t fret” I chuckled as I huffed smoke softly around my snout.
He looked at me expectantly.
"Hello miss goddess” he was very shy and timid.
“ Come tell me your name, little one, no need to call me that, Bone is just fine for all of you sweet children “ I told all who listened.
“ I’m called Amber… Flelt” Amber spoke quietly his eyes gazing up at my enormous size.
I tenderly nuzzled his cheek.
“ It’s ok Amber Flelt there’s no need to be shy. I noticed a strong sense of magic coming from you, if you do not mind it, could you bring your parents?” I spoke carefully
He nodded vigorously looking truly excited at the honor of being able to communicate with me and for his parents to have the honor of meeting with me.
I watched as Drogan helped Amber onto his prized horse as he was too small and young to ride a lettis. I waited as they rode off as fast as the animal could take them. Drogan also sent one of his knights to the castle to gather a carriage for Amber’s family.
It took awhile but it was worth the wait. Soon a few carriages from the palace arrived with escorts of knights. Drogan squealed as he jumped out of his carriage with his parents running over to me giving my snout a big hug as a small child could.
“ Mother and father were curious about the need for a carriage at my request. I hope you don’t mind them.” He looked at me abit shy.
Opening my mouth I gave his cheek a tender lick while Amber and his parents stood before me. Seeing them I really took in their individual beauty. His mother was a forest high elf, a beautiful silver haired woman with very long ears that drooped slightly down near the tips. She had very pale fair skin, her eyes a swirl of green and brown, with speckles of reddish brown dots across her cheeks and nose. She looked so radiant with her laced single jeweled head crown, as for her mate, he was a dashing wood druid, roots, leaves, moss, and tree branches where all decorated along his clothes he had a long white beard hanging down to his chest, his eyes a bright golden color with speckles of brown. His hair, a soft milky white color with slight hints of brown and gray. He donned an antler crown around his head.
I could tell they were related to a type of royalty in their respective cultures. I remember meeting the wood elves royals, white hair was a symbol of their bloodline and long life. As for wood Druids the golden eyes were their symbol of royalty as well as wearing an antler crown the bigger the antler the more stronger the male was, they came from a very dangerous creature known as a Charuk. It grew antlers that spouted like tree branches for the older ones. They were creatures that grazed as well as fed on flesh. Comparatively they were the size of a small human hut.
“ I noticed your son has an immense amount of magic, so I was wondering if you both know any type of shape-shifting or transformation spells or incantations?” I asked them as they neared my head looking at me with glory and honor.
“ I Enica Arshley Flelt am pleased at your inquiry and will write to my village as soon as possible, I know my homelands have a shape-shifting creature called a biffalu whose blood, once drunk, can help anyone change form for only a limited amount of time. '' Amber's Father spoke as he softly touched near my nose feeling the calming heat from my scales.
“ I, Leafia Flelt also know of a few beastfolk that know shape-shifting magic near the border of my homeland! I shall have word sent alacritous.” she professed with enthusiasm.
