Episode 4: Strange Things are Happening

The creatures lunge towards Ven. Seemingly accepting his fate, Ven closes his eyes and clenches the necklace his mother gave him.

Suddenly, a light flashes and a loud bang is heard. Grass shards and dirt kicks into the air and a strong wind  blows through and out of the chaos, a man with snow white hair appears! He stretches out his hand and what seems to be fire, shoots out from the palm of his hand, striking one of the creatures, burning it alive.

“I must be dreaming!” Ven shouts aloud in a panic. 

The man turns towards Ven and makes eye contact. His beautiful grey eyes seeing right into Ven's soul.

“Stay behind me," he orders.

Another one of the creatures lunges towards the man. The man shoots a fireball at the creature, incinerating it. He then shoots one at another creature but misses.

“Oh, you’re a quick one!” He comments, smirking while throwing another fireball at the creature.

As they continue to fight, the man unknowingly sets fire to the park, burning the surrounding trees and grass.

“Hey Kid!”

Ven turns and sees that the Japanese police and fire department have arrived. The police have their guns drawn and are pointing them at the mysterious man.

“Sir! Put away the flamethrower and step away from the boy!” The police shout over a megaphone.

All the police can see is the man setting a fire and not the creatures attacking him and him doing air martial arts, looking like a mad man.

“Sir! If you do not put the flamethrower down, we will fire upon you!” The police repeat.

Not seeming to notice the police, the man continues to fight the creatures.

“Sir! This is your final warning!”

“Help! Help me!” Ven pleads with the police. His arms flailing helplessly.

“Bullseye!” The man yells as the fireball his shot hits the creature and burns it to a crisp.

He then turns towards Ven, grabs him by his shirt and lifts him up into the air with ease.

"Let me go! Help!" Ven yells as he kicks and screams.

“Stop screaming.” The man says calmly.

“Sir! Put the boy down!” The police yell.

The man looks at the police and smirks. 

“Close your eyes and hold onto me. If you want to live.” The man says to Ven.

“Who are you?” Ven demands while squirming.

“Close your eyes. Stop talking and stop squirming or I’ll kill you right here. Right now.” The man responds coldy.

Ven zips his mouth shut immediately. The man cocks his head and takes his left hand and draws a circle with his finger in the air. A bright light appears, blinding the police, and what seems to be a portal, opens in-front of him and Ven. The man steps into it dragging Ven with him, leaving the police flabbergasted, behind.

 *Boom*

“Open your eyes.”

Ven slowly opens his eyes and finds that he is no longer in the forest but now in a field, surrounded by colorful flowers. He takes a look around him and sees the white haired man standing over him, staring at him with no sign of any emotion on his face.

Ven jumps up in a panic. “What the hell just happened!? Who are you?! Where am-"

Overcome by the events, Ven passes out.

 *A few hours later*

A few hours pass and Ven soon wakes up and finds himself in a bed in a room with the strange man staring at him with a smug look on his face. Startled by the man, Ven jumps out of bed.

“Where am I?! Who are you?! What happened?!” Ven demands and takes a fighting stance.

The man just stares at Ven.

“Are we dead?!” Ven asks, looking all around him for any sign of heaven.

The man laughs. “You’re not dead. Just naked.” 

Ven looks down and finds that he is indeed, naked. Embarrassed, he grabs the blanket from the bed and covers his lower region with it.

“There are new clothes in the drawer over there,” the man says, pointing towards a dresser. “Put them on and come and meet me outside.”

The man then gets up and strolls out of the room without saying another word.

“Embarrassing.” Ven mumbles to himself and goes towards the dresser and finds a shirt and breeches folded in a drawer. The clothes were rather plain but at least they were clean. He puts them on and walks out of the room and finds a door leading to the outside. Once outside, Ven finds the man sitting down on a boulder, casually reading a book.

“Are you going to tell me what is going on? Where am I? Who are you? What the hell just happened?!” Ven stammers while walking up to him.

The man looks up from his book and sighs. He closes the book and stands up.

“I guess I should tell you what you want to know right?” The man says sarcastically, scratching his hair.

“That would be nice,” Ven replies and folds his arms.

“We’ve been waiting for you for quite some time. For this exact day. You are sixteen now, correct?”

“We? And ugh...Yes? How did you know I-“

“Where is Auroa?” The man interrupts.

Ven looks down, and tears start to form in his eyes. He replies softly, “She’s dead.” 

The man gets quiet for a moment then says, “I’m sorry,” he sighs. “We received her call. She told us that she would be waiting for us at the forest. Dammit.” The man runs his fingers through his hair. “What did she tell you?”

“All she said was that someone will be at the forest waiting.”

“She hasn’t told you anything else?”

Ven shakes his head. “No.”

“Dammit. What I’m about to tell you may sound crazy. Fair warning.”

Ven cocks his head.

“My name is Enishi Sato (quite handsome, youngish looking man with white hair and dazzling grey eyes. He stands about 6ft and wears a black shirt and black breeches). I was sent to retrieve you by The Tower of The Republic. We need your help.”

"My, MY help?” Ven stutters.

“Yes. You are a Madokai. One of the few that come from a line of powerful Tenaris. You possess a power that we need in order to defeat the Dragtagon Wielder and bring peace back to our lands.”

Ven stares at Enishi and says nothing.

“I’m going home," he says, and turns away from Enishi.

Enishi replies, “You can no longer go home.” 

“Clearly this is a dream.” 

“I wish it was kid.”

Ven ignores him and starts walking towards a forest that is surrounding the field.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” Enishi calls after him. “The forest can be quite dangerous.”

Ven continues to ignore him and continues walking towards the forest. Once Ven is out of Enishi’s sight, a silhouette of a person appears behind him.

He raises his eyebrows and smiles. “Have fun.”
