At the west-side of magic academy compound, a building, 18-storey building, built up with most of the walls in glasses, gleaming on its ground. It’s the magic academy headquarter. On the eleventh floor, in a room, a meeting in progress, an enraged voice could be heard.

Plop—

“I totally disagree with this, Chairwoman—!”

The voice of disagreement came from a woman, plopped the table, seemed in her mid-twenties. From her appearance, it might be said that she was arrogant with strict attitude. She was seen in her robe shown that she was a professor. She had a long black hair and dark green irises.

“I oppose to the transfer of the new male student! Why does our academy need him?! After all, this is an all-girls academy!”

“However, Hirota-san, he is a top student from the other magic academy with outstanding performances, recommended by Izumi-san herself.”

Despite the enraged attitude of the one ahead, in the centre of the boardroom table, right-side of her, the woman remained unfazed, and returned a gentle and rational reply. That was the Chairwoman in her dark blazer with a white button up dress shirt underneath.

“Madam Chairwoman—! Don’t tell me you agree with her? And what I am against the most is the fact that the transfer student is her son!”

“Good grief. What is the problem with ‘the transfer student is her son’, Etsuko Hirota-san?”

Sitting opposite of her, was a woman. She was questioning Etsuko calmly regarding her strong disagreement.

That was Noriko Izumi, a young-looking woman with a gentle gaze in her brown eyes. Her curvy physique was rather attractive amongst others in the room.

“We can’t just simply let you transfer a student here just because he’s your child. Plus, it’s a boy to be in all-girls academy. Aren’t you aware of that?!”

“I can’t say that the boy doesn’t entitled to be in this academy—”

The Chairwoman picked up the file on the table that was in front of her, and skimmed through it.

“—and our academy policies does allow him to be enrolled here. So… I see nothing absurd, neither to complain nor object. Plus, all the other board members concurred with this matter.”

“You could have your son transferred here too, ‘if’… he is eligible, Hirota-san.”

Noriko snarkily responded to Etsuko’s babble.

“I-I’m not even married yet—!”

Etsuko seems embarrassed.

“Well… then just get married already… if you’re that desperate.”

“Since when I’m that desperate! S-Stop coming up with irrelevant topic—!”

“Whatever…”

“Ughhh—!”

“Seeing that it doesn’t give any problem to our academy, then, it’s decided.”

Announced the Chairwoman, with a soft smile and her both palms clasped.

“Madam Chairwoman—!”

“Nothing to make a fuss about, Hirota-san.”

Replied the Chairwoman without any intention to discuss any further regarding Kizuki’s transferred case.

“Tch—. Are you happy now?”

“Of course, I am, Hirota-san.”

Noriko smiled cheerfully and then flashed a smirk.

“J-Just you wait…”

Then.

“Madam Chairwoman…”

“Yes, Chloe Akita-san?”

One of the board members raised her hand and seemed like she wanted to ask something that was seemingly sensitive yet crucial.

“Sorry to ask this, but I’m still worried about the incident that happened three months back…”

“Oh, I see. Concerning that incident… the authority is still investigating it. But don’t worry, we have tightened our academy’s securities with more advanced magic and technology. We can be at ease…”

…For now, at least. She thought.

Even the high-ranked Ivory Mage, the Chairwoman, Kaede Arakawa, still in doubt with the improved securities, after the incident three months back regarding the laboratory that had been breached. She acknowledged that it could be related with something that she was hoping it doesn’t.

One could tell Kaede was a character-wise woman, and not to mention slender yet curvy woman. She has fair pale skin, sharp emerald eyes, and long lime green hair. She has bangs that covered her forehead.

“Okay, that concludes our discussion for today. Meeting adjourned.”

The meeting adjourned with the boy, Kizuki that was mentioned during the meeting, got to stay in this academy. With the board members treading their way out, Noriko slightly lowered her head, bowing slightly—showing respect to Kaede while Etsuko left the meeting room without a word.
