Ye-Rim sighs and glances at her wristwatch. The time is already 2 in the afternoon; she sighs and decides to wait for him. She's been waiting for nearly an hour now, he should be here any minute but it has been so long and he's still not there.
Ye-Rim is continuously drinking Coffee. Her favourite coffee shop in town. And when someone walks through the door, Ye-Rim quickly stands up and puts her drink down on the table while trying not to spill too much on her jacket.
"Hey." She hears a voice say and turns around to face him. She smiles and gives him a warm hug. He hugs back tightly. "You're late."
He shakes his head with a chuckle. "Sorry about that."
"It's fine." She shrugs, they break the embrace.
"Why do you call me so urgent?" Do-Yun asks while ordering something for himself. "I think my sister finds out about us." Ye-Rim says while looking down.
"What?!" Do-Yun exclaims loudly but then lowers his voice. "Your sister?" He chuckles nervously and takes a sip of his drink. "She'll never find out. I don't know what kind of nonsense you are talking about but no one will ever know."
"I hope so." Ye-Rim looks at him. "But I'm scared."
"Don't be." Do-Yun smiles gently at her. "What if Sook-Ja finds out about us?" Ye-Rim looks down again. "Well, we can just pretend nothing happened between us..." Do-Yun suggests, his tone is a bit unsure. Ye-Rim looks at him, "Would that really be possible?" He nods. "Okay... So what do I do?" He sighs and pats her hand. "Ask your sister what she knows about it." Ye-Rim smiles sadly and nods. "Thank you."
They continue to talk until their drinks arrive. "Are you hungry? We can go home if you want." Ye-Rim asks as she picks her coffee cup up. Do-Yun shakes his head. "Nah, I ate before work. Are you okay though?" He tilts his head in a questioning manner.
"Yeah, I'm okay. I think I need some air..." She answers softly. She gets up from her chair slowly, making sure to take care of her drink. They walk out of the shop together. Ye-Rim takes another look behind them. She doesn't see anyone following them. They walk side by side.
The sun is shining brightly today and they both feel its warmth. A few seconds pass and they reach their street, Do-Yun opens the door to his apartment complex. It's empty because he left early for work this morning. He opens the door and leads Ye-Rim inside.
She sits down on the couch as she sips her drink. She takes off her coat and put it in the armchair. Do-Yun sits beside her and pulls her closer. "So what did your sister tell you?" He asks with an innocent smile.
Ye-Rim groans, it makes him chuckle lightly. "Nothing important, apparently." He chuckles again and pinches the tip of her nose. "Just forget about it, okay? I'm sure things will turn out alright."
She nods and snuggles into his chest. He wraps his arms around her waist and rests his chin atop of her head. After a short moment of silence they decide to watch some TV. As Ye-Rim starts watching some show, something suddenly catches her attention.
"Huh?" Do-Yun hums. "Is everything okay?" He asks with concern in his voice. She snaps out of her thoughts and looks at Do-Yun. "Oh, um yeah everything is fine!" He chuckles and kisses her forehead. "If you say so."
"Don't you love Sook-Ja?" Ye-Rim asks. Do-Yun looks at her and tilts his head slightly. "What do you mean?"
"You said that when you first started dating her, you were really happy when it came to Sook-Ja." She tells him with a soft voice and he hums. His eyes look somewhere else for a second. "...yeah I guess I was." He replies.
Ye-Rim raises her eyebrow. "Did she ever hurt you?" He blinks at her and lets out an annoyed laugh. "Of course not!" He shakes his head. "Not even once." He looks straight and smiles. "But, sometimes we fall out of love." Ye-Rim frowns and places her hands over his. He stares right at her for a few minutes but when he doesn't speak up, she continues to hold on to his hands.
"Why don't you tell her?" He sighs. "Because telling her won't end well for her. It's best not to tell her."
"Do-Yun please."
"No."
"How can you be so sure?" She whispers.
"You know me well enough, Ye-Rim." He tells her. She frowns and looks away. "But you also said that she never did anything wrong."
"...she didn't." Do-Yun mutters. Ye-Rim bites her lower lip. "If you ask me, I don't like where this is going." She mumbles quietly and moves away from him.
"Ye-Rim..." He says, but he doesn't get any response from her. He sighs and looks at her. "I don't know how to tell her."
She stays silent and keeps looking at her hands. "What if I were to tell you that it was going to all end?"
Do-Yun freezes for a brief second. He knew she wanted to tell Sook-Ja soon, but he didn't expect her to make it sound so cold. If only Ye-Rim would understand that he isn't trying to make her uncomfortable, or that she should stop asking him such questions, she wouldn't have to question him at all. "Ye-Rim, I promise I'm not doing this to make you unhappy."
"But I am," She says, her voice sounding sadder than she intended it to be. Do-Yun looks up from his hands and meets his girlfriend's gaze. It hurts more than anything he had ever felt.
"Okay, I will tell her soon." He assures her and tries his best to give her a gentle smile. He feels as if the whole world stopped working just to keep him calm.
"Thanks." She mutters.
Jung-Ho lets out a tired sigh as he Finishes his work. “It’s finally done!”
He stands up and stretches, feeling the strain of all the work that had piled up. He grabs his things from beside the door and thinks of something. Jung-Ho comes back and sits on his chair again. "I want to see her." Saying this he calls Sook-Ja.
"Hello? Is there anything wrong?" Sook-Ja asks in concern, not understanding what he wants.
Jung-Ho pauses, before saying: "I need your help in a file. Can you come to my office?" He hopes she will say yes. "Okay." Jung-Ho hangs up. “She says yes! That should be good enough!” he smiles.
"Take my hand, I am here with you." He says in a deep husky voice catching her out of gaud. "I can't, I can't do it, please go. Save yourself." She yells back as the car's brakes fail.
"Dr, Dr. I can't see." While panicking she cries. "I am sorry Sir, she lost her eyes." His body gets numb and drops himself on the bench near him.
"But, you always said you love me." "I am sorry. I can't stay with you, it's about my whole life." "I always treated you like my sister. How could you do that to me?"
"Who's gonna earn money for us now grandpa?" Little boy says, glancing at his blind sister. "I wish I could die."
