“That’s why I think Masuo-sensei’s lecture on Dark Mage is unacceptable. What do you think about it, Yuki-chan?”
Dark Mage—?
Directly across from the seat that Kizuki wanted to sit on, were two familiar faces.
“What he said was, ‘Dark Mage usually was mistaken for their evilness and selfishness.’ Hah? …what we know that had happened long ago, in the history of magic, Dark Mage begot chaos all over the world. But what he told us in our lecture is off the rails. And he told us, ‘In modern times, the definition of Dark Mage has been convoluted by people who define their magic or ritualistic practices as corrupted.’ What—well, who doesn’t, against such uses of vile magic. It’s obvious, right? Also—he said, ‘We should not treat Dark Mage as our enemy.’ Pfft… sounds wrong to me, don’t you think? We are taught to be a great Ivory Mage—to counter them, not to accept them in our society.”
“I-I suppose…”
The fiery red-haired girl forgot entirely about her food in front of her, and began to chatter away. In the face of the enthusiasm fiery red-haired girl, the blonde-haired girl sitting beside her—Yuki—could only return a warm smile. She was at loss for words.
The two were currently discussing The Mages literature, well, it’s a one-sided discussion between them though.
The Mages literature was the study of Mages histories that existed during the ancient times. What the fiery red-haired girl had mentioned was about the Dark Mage that caused massive destruction to the world during the ancient times. Dark Mages were devoted to dark arts—using them nothing but for evil intents.
And it appears that this fiery red-haired girl hates Dark Mages so much from her perspective.
“Excuse me. If you don’t mind, I’m sitting here.”
With this short greeting, Kizuki seated himself directly in front of the blonde-haired girl, and diagonally away from the fiery red-haired girl.
The fiery red-haired girl seemed to snap out of her daze instantaneously, and noticed Kizuki’s presence.
“—?! Ah, you—”
“Nope. You’ve got the wrong person.”
Kizuki had his glove on his right hand removed and began to eat as he suavely ignoring her.
Due to this unexpected event, the atmosphere around the three was surrounded by an overwhelming silence and attracted other students’ gazes.
The only sound that could be heard was the cling and clang of silverware.
“They are hanging out together—?”
“Oh my, ——with Izumi-san——”
“How bold—— ~♡”
Gossiping could be heard, coming from other tables.
